Isn’t it so obvious how much Jamie has changed?
Emilia would love to hear that. He wishes he can tell her everything, but she wouldn’t understand. She acts like she can but acting isn’t real. If he could, he would tell her everything’s going fine, mostly. Slightly better.
Those terrible weeks off his medications has stopped. He didn’t need them anymore. He’s fine without them.
He has Jean and Jean likes him.
He’s a little skinnier.
His head’s a little clear. He thinks so, at least.
He has a friend. (A best friend?)
He doesn’t feel jealous of Alexandria for the littlest things anymore (though she still looks better than him).
Zack doesn’t bother him too much anymore.
Although there are some days, like during school, where it feels as if lightning has hit Jamie. His bones start shaking and he feels dissected and exposed, like everyone knows what’s wrong with him. Some days he starts crying when he feels like smiling.
But everything is looking up for the most part.
