The Wartime Bible

Vietnam was perhaps one of the bloodiest wars of our time in America. You had the young hippie teen rebel rage protesting

equal rights and many other touchy issues. Vietnam was a place that changed the minds of many young men. The jungle was

hot and humid while the bugs of the jungle played hell on ones body. The North Vietnamese Army would set traps in the jungle

and many men saw their lives end at the explosion of a rigged grenade. The enemy would hide waiting and stalking their prey

like a savage beast of the jungle. Most men where drafted and forced into the hell and agony of the war itself.

James Johnson is a very intelligent person that would have gone to Harvard, the only problem was that he was called to

Vietnam in the draft. He had tried not to think about the possibility of being drafted but the day he dreaded had come. James

is an Atheist that came from a non-religious family in North Carolina. He never read the Bible or associated himself with

religion at all. James is tall about 6 ft 8in tall, built body with blond hair and blue eyes. James has no idea of what hell and

good can come from the God forsaken war zone. This is the story of how James of all places finds God despite the hell that

goes on in his mind and all around him.
