The Vampire's War

On December 21, 2012, the United States and China engaged in a nuclear war that wiped out 99.6% of the total population of planet Earth.

The survivors were the ones that endured the nuclear radiation, which started a nuclear winter and mutated the human genetic code. Some mutations were harmless, such as altered blood types or new hair colours, but the most deadly mutations resulted in an entirely new species - Homo vamperious: Vampires.

Swifter, stronger, and much more intelligent than the average human, Vampires quickly enslaved the remainder of the human race in order to re-build and improve society. Natrually, resistance groups were created, most noteably the HARAV - Human Allied Rebels Against Vampires - created by human Victor Darvill. Despite small skirmishes, nothing major happened until 2044, when a very important discovery was made that would change the human/Vampire society forever.
