Eternità

Treinta y cuatro.

Frank and Gerard had stayed the night at Gerard's parent's house. It was mostly because Tristan had offered them to stay rather than having to drive home in the dark. Even James told them they should stay because driving home at the time of night it had been when they were about to head home wasn't a good idea.

Driving home in the dark with your fertile mate was one thing, but driving home with your newborn fertile daughter was a whole different thing.

And Gerard understood where his parents were coming from which lead to him, his mate and Dusk sleeping in Gerard's old room.

Frank had fallen asleep almost straight away because he was tired out over looking after Dusk because even though she was a female fertile, she didn't really like sleeping.

She had been keeping the fertile up at all hours because she just didn't want to sleep and instead wanted to be with one of her parents.

So during the night they stayed at Tristan and James' house, Gerard tended to Dusk rather than Frank. And instead of trying to get her back to sleep in the crib that Tristan had brought from the attic for them, he brought her over to their bed and laid her in between him and Frank.

She fell asleep almost straight away.

This had Gerard smiling slightly as he watched his mate sleeping peacefully with their daughter close to him. He realised that it was what was keeping Dusk up - the fact that with being in the crib she wasn't near them both.

She wanted to be close to them when sleeping, and because she wasn't close to them when she was in the crib, she couldn't really sleep.

When Frank woke up in the morning he was slightly shocked to see Dusk sleeping peacefully cuddled into Gerard. He didn't remember getting up to her during the night nor did he remember bringing her to bed with them. After a while or so of just watching his mate and daughter sleep, Frank then realised that Gerard had probably got up to her during the night and decided to bring her to bed with them.

This brought a smile onto the fertile's face.

Soon after, Frank decided to get out of bed and get back into the clothes he was wearing yesterday. After he was changed he shot a glance back to his sleeping pair before heading upstairs and into the sitting room.

Tristan was up like he normally was, but this time he was sitting on the sofa chewing at his finger nails anxiously. It was a habit that James didn't like him doing but he couldn't help it at times.

"Hey Tristan," Frank said quietly, coming over to the sofa and sitting next to the fertile.

Tristan looked over at him and gave him a small smile. "Sleep well Frank?"

Frank nodded. "Yeah, slept all night. When I first woke up I realised that I hadn't got up during the night which confused me until I noticed that Dusk was in bed with us. Gerard must have got up during the night and brought to bed with us."

Tristan couldn't help but smile at what Frank told him before 'aww'ing. "You're lucky you have a nice Dom like that, Frank. James never tended to Gerard during the night until the first time I spent the night away from Gerard. I went to my first after-birth camping trip. Needless to say, he realised how harsh it was for me to be getting up during the night every night and still be able to look after him during the day and do the cleaning. He started helping me during the night after that." Both Tristan and Frank couldn't help but laugh at that.

Glancing at the clock on the wall, Tristan sighed and went back to chewing his fingernails. After a while of just watching the fertile do this, Frank decided to speak again. "What's wrong, Tristan?"

The fertile sighed again before looking at Frank. "Mikey... didn't come home last night. I really don't know what's gotten into him recently, but it's scaring me, Frank. I know he's no longer a child - he's eighteen - but he's still my baby and he doesn't have a mate yet so I have every right to be as worried for him as I am."

Frank's eyes went wide. "He didn't come home last night? Does anyone else know, Tristan?"

The fertile nodded. "James does. We didn't think anything of it because Mikey's been coming in at late hours, like midnight and one in the morning and such. I was tired last night so James said he'd wait up for him and I went to bed. He woke me at five telling me that Mikey wasn't home and he was going to look for him."

According to the clock on the wall it was now ten which meant that James had been looking for Mikey for five hours now. And Frank presumed that Tristan had been sitting on this sofa for the past five hours worried.

"Ryan and Brendon are coming over soon. I hope that Ryan knows where Mikey is, if James hasn't found him yet." Frank nodded at Tristan's words.

Frank went and got something to eat from the kitchen and brought Tristan something in because he knew that the fertile hadn't eaten. Afterwards Frank washed up the bowls they had used and just as he came back in the sitting room, the door leading to Gerard's old room opened and Gerard came walking out with little Dusk awake in his arms.

As soon as Dusk saw Frank she babbled happily whilst bouncing in Gerard's arms, her way of asking to be given to Frank. This made the fertile smile lightly before going over to the Dom and taking Dusk into his arms before standing on his tip toes and giving Gerard his morning kiss.

"Morning baby," Gerard murmured in the kiss before pulling away and looking over to where his mum was still chewing at his finger nails. "Hey mom, what's the matter?"

He went and sat next to him whilst Frank sat with Dusk on the chair next to them and let her latch her teeth to his neck for morning feed. She only had Frank's blood for breakfast because it's the first meal of the day. She had formula for lunch, dinner and all the times in between where she became hungry.

"I'm just waiting for your father to come home," Tristan told him which wasn't exactly lying because he was waiting for James to come home, but he also deliberately didn't tell him why James was out in the first place.

Gerard's eyebrow furrowed. "Isn't it a bit early for dad to be out?"

Tristan sighed and nodded. And just as he was about to explain more to Gerard, the door went which made the fertile leap up and rush to get the door.

It was Ryan and Brendon. Even though Tristan was never told what time exactly they were going to turn up, they were early.

"Hey Tristan," both the fertile and the Dom greeted him, a light smile on both their faces.

"Did any of you two speak or see Mikey last night?" Tristan didn't even say hi back to them; he just wanted to know where Mikey was.

Brendon's eyebrows furrowed and he shook his head. Ryan, on the other hand, nodded slowly. "He came over to ours late. I answered the door to him and told him he could come in but he didn't want to. He never said much... just said he was sorry before hugging me and leaving."

The Dom looked at his mate, clearly shocked that the fertile never told him about it. "Why didn't you tell me Ryan?"

"Mikey didn't want me to tell anyone. He told me he had just quickly snuck out of his house to come talk to me, I swear. He told me he was heading home straight away."

Those words made Tristan worry. Because if Mikey had told Ryan he was heading straight home then that meant that something must have happened to him.

Well, that's what Tristan thought and was worried about.
