Destiny groaned as she tried to adjust herself in the hospital bed that is located in Carlisle’s studies. She felt numb mentally and physically. She was tired of being in danger in every turn but knew if she was to live somewhere else she’ll be in even more danger. Her mind was jumbled.
“We’re moving somewhere else!” Brandon burst into the studies yelling with Carlisle, Edward, and Alice behind him, “Destiny once you’re one hundred percent better we’re gone out of Forks” he added going to hold his niece hand, all she could do was stare at him
“You guys can’t just up and leave” Carlisle insisted
“Watch me” Brandon growled at him
“What about Destiny? What does she want?” Alice asked
“She’s probably tired of being Cullen bait for everyone!” Brandon yelled, “It’s not like that” Edward spoke up saying
“You really shouldn’t be talking to me ever since Destiny met you she’s in something! Bella fighting her, a newborn attacking her, now an eight foot tall wolf put slashes across her body? But what’s your excuse? That you love her? A real man protects the woman he loves Edward” Brandon said moving towards Edward only to be pulled by Destiny to stop
Edward ran his hands through his chocolate brown locks. He was speechless about the whole situation.
“Brandon you know if we leave they and us will be put in grave danger. Just like me and you are family, they’re our family too now. Remember without them you’ll be dead and who knows where I’ll be. No I don’t like being in danger all of the time but I also don’t like letting people down who has helped me so much.” Destiny said holding her uncles hand to reassure him, “I’m a strong girl Brandon, and I’m not going to let this lifestyle beat me down. Don’t be so tough on Edward either none of this is his fault okay”
Brandon sighed knowing she was right “Okay but the minute you say you’re ready to go we’re leaving” he said. He turned to Carlisle and apologized and soon everyone was out the room except her and Edward
It was an awkward silence. Destiny opened her mouth to speak but Edward beat her to it. “The next time I see Jacob I’m killing him” he whispered running his hands over her now stitched up stomach.
“No babe, let’s move on from this please.” Destiny sighed out, “No! You don’t know how it feels to see the one you love hurt because of you.” Edward said yelling, Destiny was taken back at his yelling she knew he was hurt but didn’t know how to calm him down
“What if you leave?” Edward said
“I’m not leaving Edward”
“Why?”
“Because I’m in love with you and I have the choice to put you in danger or staying with you the one I love, Edward none of this is your fault please let’s just let it go” Destiny said grabbing Edward’s hand
Edward smirked he was happy with Destiny but he was scared she’ll leave him due to what all of this lifestyle causes. He loved her with all of him. He’s just never been in such grave fear of losing her.
