Chapter 5
McKenzie's POV
Oh my God!!! I couldn't believe Cameron asked me out! That explains why he was acting so strange. Now, I was really excited. I was eager for today to get here, and now I can't wait until Friday.
We hung out for the rest of the day, swimming and jumping on the trampoline. I had an awesome time. I went back to Aunt Sue's in the evening and went into my room. What a day! I read some of the book I was reading and went to bed.
The next morning, I helped Aunt Sue make breakfast and clean the house. I'm usually lazy but I didn't mind helping her. We talked about the things we did together in the past. I mostly thought about the next day: Friday. I still couldn't believe it. The boy I was obsessed with for like a year asked me to go to the movies with him. Was Aunt Sue sure I wasn't dreaming?
Later that day, I went to the mall and bought a nice outfit to wear to the movies. All I really wore was volleyball T-shirts and jeans. I didn't want to wear that kind of thing on a date, if it could be called a date. I went home with my new outfit and texted Maria the news. I guess I was so excited that I forgot to tell her.
