She Can't Do It Alone

Sometimes You Don't Expect

JJ and Prentiss walked out of the room to circle the block as Rossi and Hotch looked over the security cameras for every place I've visited in the past two days. Morgan was forced to baby-sit Ashley and myself while Reid went on to work on something he refused to tell me about.

Ashley sat inside Morgan's Mustang while Derek Morgan and I had a small conversation.

"We can't leave now. We can't leave and have you here by yourself, and we can't keep Miss Skinny-Jeans over here safe. They will surely be after her as well, Vega." Morgan was saying while he leaned against the back end of the car.

I picked at my nails and bit my lip. "Did you have something important to go through?" I asked.

"Not exactly. But Jack needs to be back home. Why Hotchner brought him here, I do not know."

"How is little Jack?" I smiled gently.

Derek chuckled. "He's doing fine. He's glad he finally got to come with his dad on a mission."

"He really loves crime fighting."

"He's his dad's son, alright."

Ashley stepped out of the car and held her phone up which they gave back to her to contact family. "I got a text from my cousins phone..." She muttered.

Derek snatched the phone from her hands and looked at it. He dug his phone out and dialed. "Baby girl, I need you to track a number for me."

He walked away from the car, but still stayed close. I looked at Ashley whom was pulling in her Sophomore Jakes shirt. "What did it say?" I asked.

She shrugged her shoulders. "Didn't read it."

Derek walked back over and handed Ashley her phone back. "If they do this again, tell me. Garcia couldn't track the number because they wouldn't answer."

"What if they keep texting me?" Ashley asked.

"We will find the source. Don't worry, girlie. We'll find them." He smiled and got in the car. We followed his move, both getting into the backseat and buckling up.

I watched Ashley look out the window. She seemed deep in thought. I couldn't help but wonder if it was about Agent Hotchner.

When Morgan pulled up to a house, I tilted my head. "Why are we here?"

"It's my cousin's house..." Ashley wondered aloud.

I looked up at Morgan. He sighed and got out. I followed his lead and helped Ashley out of his car.

Once inside, I felt extremely uncomfortable. I felt like everything was watching me.

We followed Morgan and the creepy lady who let us in into the kitchen. She was frowning, as if something displeased her greatly. Morgan, I know, had to of been a real shock to be standing at her door. I say she was at least seventy. Her silver hair was pulled up into a bun, and wrinkles on her face. She even had a creepy little hump on her back.

"Agent Morgan, what took you so long?" She asked, sitting on a bar stool and taking a hit off her cigarette.

Morgan crossed his arms, making him look like he meant business. "I have reason to believe you are helping these kids after your daughter died a few days ago."

The lady took a full minute before she took on any emotion. She, of course, picked being shocked. "Excuse me? I highly doubt I am able to help these.. Filthy teenagers that come in and out of my house day and night." Her voice was scratchy, from years of smoking.

Just then, we heard glass breaking upstairs. Derek grabbed his cell phone and dialed a number. "Back up! 765 Hollingsworth Road. Just a few blocks from the station!" He spoke as he ran up the stairs.

Ashley and I grabbed each others hands and pressed our sides together. We weren't sure if we needed to go up there or not. Morgan's voice could be heard downstairs, the little old lady calling up to them, and then suddenly the door flying open and Reid, Hotchner, Prentiss, JJ, and Rossi came running in. Spencer winking at me before he ran upstairs.

JJ ran over to us and lowered her gun. "Girls, outside."

We followed her outside and to one of the trucks the BAU were using for this trip. Ashley and I looked at each other as he heard gun shots from inside the house.

"Don't worry. Garcia said this was a hide out. I guess Morgan decided to check it out." JJ explained.

"How come we didn't hear this?" Ashley asked.

"You miss a lot going to the bathroom." JJ chuckled.

The front door opened again. The little lady was screaming, as well as a guy being brought out by Hotch and Morgan.

He was a tall guy, long brown hair fell in his acne covered face. I remembered seeing him that night. But he left from the fright of everything before I killed his friends.

Reid and Rossi brought out two more guys, one of Which was screaming my name. The other, whispering Ashley's name.

Ashley and I hugged each other again as the BAU took the men to the police cars. Shoving them in, and slamming the doors.

"Bye, bitch." Emily smirked at he acne covered boy as she waved to him. He spat, but it landed on the window. I couldn't help but giggle.

I looked over at Reid, whom was just pushing a man ten times more build than he was into a cop car. I walked over to him and hugged him around his waist. "My hero."

Spencer chuckled and kissed the top of my head. "It wasn't just me."

"I know. But you helped me the most." I winked at him.

He smiled and wrapped his arms around me. "I don't care right now," He muttered before pulling me closer and kissing my lips. Butterflies filled my stomach, my head emptied of all bad things. Nothing mattered at this moment because I had Spencer Reid.
