Chapter One Hundred Twenty-Nine
"I sure do have the best of friends and boyfriend." I smiled warmly at them.
Another nurse came into the room, carrying a sharp needle. She flicked my forearm, trying to make my vein pop out and grazed the spot with alcohol.
"Now, this may sting a bit." She warned me.
I nodded my head, telling her to go on and watched her gently and slowly stick the needle in my skin. I winced a bit as I felt a stinging sensation, but slowly calmed down as it subsided.
"There...now we're gonna run some tests on your blood to make sure everything is alright." she told me.
I smiled weakly at her as I nodded my head.
She smiled back, cleaned up her stuff and quietly walked out.
