Affection Could Be A Good Thing.
Matty wasn’t one for affection. He never really understood the point in holding hands, kissing, hugging, anything of that sort. Maybe it was because he’d never met anyone he’d want to do those things with. But all Matty knew was that he didn’t like it.
Darren never got his best friend’s hatred for love and affection. To him, it was a way of showing you cared for someone. A way of being able to express feelings that words couldn’t say. Darren wanted to show Matty exactly how much affection meant to him.
Matty had always liked when Daryl would hug him. It made him feel special. Although he never did get why Daryl would always hug him. But it was one night. And in that one night, Matty discovered would a simple form of affection actually meant. And it came in the form of Daryl, his best friend.
