“Allie,” I heard someone whisper before that person gently shook me. I cracked my eyes open a bit to see Mikey.

“Hey,” I whispered, smiling a bit. Mikey smiled.

“Hey,” he whispered back. “How are you feeling?”

“Better,” I said. Mikey placed his hand on my forehead.

“You don’t have a fever anymore,” he said. I felt something move beside me and it scared me a bit. Then I remembered Gerard was there.

“Mikey?” said Gerard, sitting up and rubbing his eyes.

“Yeah,” said Mikey. Gerard yawned.

“When did you guys get back?” he asked.

“Just a few minutes ago,” said Mikey. “Thanks for taking care of Allie. I feel bad cause you didn’t get to go.”

“No problem,” said Gerard. “I didn’t want to go anyways, so don’t worry about it.”

“Ok,” Mikey said. He looked at me again. “Have you eaten anything today?”

I shook my head.

“Well, let’s go get you something to eat,” he said. I nodded my head and carefully got out of bed. I still felt tired and weak. Mikey wrapped an arm around me as I leaned against him for support as we went down to the kitchen.
