"Gerard and Frank, I would like a word with you."

Samantha did not look happy.

"Why did you take so long in the bathroom?"

"What?" I tried to fake confusion.

"You weren't even in there, were you? Matt told us you weren't."

I looked over at the couch and saw Matt burried in the couch. Pretending to sleep. He's terrible at it.

"And we found cigarette butts in the back by the laundry room."

I looked at Gerard, her had no expression on his face. I probably looked terrified.

"We're putting you each in your rooms for sneaking out. You'll stay there for the day. They will be locked."

Gerard nodded and headed straight for his room.

I looked at her. "none of you guys smoke?"

She ignored me. Fine.

I walked towards my room and sighed. Gerard forgot Lauren's keys outside earlier, so I grabbed them. I can get into his room.

I looked around for Lauren, Samantha or any other of the workers. None of them were around. I smiled.

Okay. Here I go.

I grabbed the keys and tried the first one I saw on Gerard's door.

I opened it and saw Gerard crying.

"What's wrong?"

He turned around on his bed.

"Get out."

"Not until you tell me what's wrong."

He stared at me.

"Why?"

"I want you to be happy."

"You're going to get hurt so bad."

A few more tears rolled down his cheeks.

"I really like you."

"I like you too.. But I like drugs. I like alcohol. I don't know what I like more.

"My dad liked drugs and alcohol, okay? I know how it is.. He didn't know how to love. I've had this all happen before.. Gerard, please don't leave like he did."

He stared at me.

"Frankie, I like you."

I smiled.

"I like you too Gee."
