Well… as you can assume, it wasn’t easy patching up the commotion of that night. Spain was furious, and it took many years for Denmark to get back in their good standings. But after awhile of remarkably good fish trade, Spain finally forgave Denmark. Although, Maria always stayed a sour grape. She married a rich man, who eventually left her. In fact, she married many rich men who eventually left her.
I took awhile for Henry and Ella’s parents to adjust too, but they eventually came around. In a year or so they forgot all about their previous hatred for each other and spent most of their time bragging about their brilliant idea to join their offspring in marriage. In actuality, their idea had paid off. Denmark and the Netherlands had never had a stronger bond.
As for Henry and Ella: They got married, lived in a big beautiful castle, and even though they both swore they would never reproduce with each other, they had me, Samantha, their very first daughter.
And as you can imagine, as these sappy stories usually end, they did live…
happily every after.
