Draco Malfoy Said He Loved Me...

As I walked down the stairs, my father was announcing my name
“And now, here is my beautiful daughter, Kelly Riddle” he said, as I appeared at the bottom, plastering a painfully fake smile across my face. Luckily, everyone –minus my best friends and their parents- started whispering and smiling at me “And her date for tonight – Blade Zambian” he finished, and a handsome Blade came up to me, in his black tux, and held out his hand as the music started and my father walked off. This time my smile was genuine, and I took his hand as he led me to the middle of the dance floor. We started dancing, as me and my date was supposed to do the opening dance like every year. I sighed thinking about the times where me and Draco used to do the opening dance, and smiled at the first time he danced with me, and kept screwing up, then going all red. I felt like I was floating, as I danced around the floor, spinning and turning, his hand wrapped around my waist, and mine wrapped around his neck. The music was a love song, and the pace quite slow, so we just turned round in circles slowly, moving left and right with every step. I felt like I could fly, as he dipped me gently at the end, and then picked me up. I was truly happy, and smiled at him, looking into his chocolate brown eyes, which matched mine. He was the one. I knew it. He leant in to kiss me, as my dad coughed, and I blushed.
“You wanna go outside? You know, somewhere more private” I asked
“Sure” he said, and took my hand, then led me out onto the balcony. It was a breezy night, with around a million starts twinkling in the sky, and the moon seemed so much closer. It was beautiful, and he turned me round by my waist and kissed me, lightly and gently, yet perfectly and passionately. I could not have asked for a better first kiss.

We were about to walk back in when I saw Draco, Danni and Blaise standing just behind the doors, with Danni motioning to come and speak to us. I looked at them for a second, and then looked up at Blade. I wanted to ignore them, to see them feel the pain I went through, but all the same, I decided not to stoop so low. I told Blade to go on ahead and that I would wait out here for a little while longer. He nodded, smiled and then walked back into the room. I turned back to face the stars, with my back to the other three, who came next to me, Draco on my left, Danni on my right, and Blaise on her left. We waited a while, and Danni opened her mouth to speak, all three facing me, but I started a split second before her
“Just to let you know, I’m only here because I’m not as low as you to just leave you when you want me” I said, not facing any of them
“Kelly we’re sorry-” Danni started, but I cut in
“If all you wanna say is sorry, you’re wasting your time ok? I’m gonna go” I said, but Draco took hold of my wrist and pulled me back
“Look Kelly, our parents forced us to say that ok? We didn’t want to” he said, and I looked at him for a while then sighed. Tears leaked down my face, and I hugged him as he kissed my cheek.
“I missed you guys so much. I was so stupid”
“We were the stupid ones, but that doesn’t matter. We got all of our parents together, and talked to them, said it was just as much our fault as it were yours, and that no one is perfect, and they don’t seem to mind about us seeing you anymore” Danni said. I smiled, then started talking as if none of this shit had happened
“Blade is…. AMAZING! Did you see us kiss? It was so romantic! I mean, he is such a good kisser. You know, not too hard yet not too soft! Oh, it was the best! It was like, better than the best, it was-” I started, but Blaise cut in
“Ugh! We don’t wanna hear about your make out session with Blade! We’re gonna go get a drink! Come on man” Blaise said, looking disgusted, and took away Draco, who avoided my eyes. I waited a while, then looked at Danni, who tried to look away, but couldn’t
“Ok. So what’s the deal with Draco?”
“I dunno”
“Look, I know you know, so spill. We never keep secrets from each other. I tell you everything. You should do the same with me” she seemed reluctant, but finally gave in
“Ok. I think I know, but I’m not sure ok? I mean, Draco was drunk when he told me”
“Told you what?”
“Well, like he said, I kissed him, cause I was drunk, and he was drunk too, and told me to get off, and I was all, but you fancy me, and he was all what, and I was like Kelly said that you fancied me and he was like no way, I fancy Kelly not you, and I went oh shit, and he goes I have to go now, and left” She finished, looking down. I waited a while, and she looked up at me. I nodded
“Right. So now he just has to make sure he doesn’t let feelings get in the way of our friendship” I said, turning to leave, but Danni grabbed hold of my hand
“What, so that’s it? You’re gonna stay with Blade?”
“Kinda” I said, grabbing my hand back.
“But you should see Draco! He’s crazy about you, and when we were about to come and tell you we were forced to break friends with you, we saw you snogging Blade, and it almost killed him”
“Look Danni. Sometimes you don’t get the person you want. I just think… no, I know that Blade is the one Danni. I can’t be with Draco. I don’t love him” I said, and just as I said the last two sentences, who walked in But Draco himself, along with Blaise. I looked at Draco for a minute, my breathing stopped, and then said I had to go, look down, before walking out of the door past Draco and into the living room where more couples were dancing. I went over to the drinks station and drank a cup of Whisky
“Woah, Blaise and Danni told me about your latest adventure with those” Blaise said, pointing towards the drink in my hand “Come on, let’s dance” he said, and took hold of my hand. All the time, Draco was watching, and as we waltzed round the room, Draco picked up his coat and left, with Blaise running after him
“Uh sorry. I just have to steal Kelly for one quick second Blade” Danni said, and without waiting for a reply, she yanked me into a corner of the room holding onto my upper arm. I sighed
“What is it Danni?”
“I told you so!” she said, pointing towards the open front doors where Draco’s Hummer Limo was pulling way
“Look, I’m not in the mood-”
“Have you been drinking?” she asked sharply
“Yeah one drink-”
“Our parents almost killed us because of you-”
“Look, why are you blaming me? Can’t you realise I’ve had a rough night? You never wanna let me be happy”
“I do-”
“No you don’t! Just go Danni!”
“Kelly-”
“LEAVE!”
“Fine!” she said, and walked out.

I sighed, then walked back towards Blade
“I’m gonna go to bed now. I’m really tired”
“Ok then. I’ll see you on new years” he said, grinning at me, and I smiled at him before walking upstairs, and getting into my bed without even bothering to change my clothes.
