Saving Grace

John and Travis were both seniors in high school; and Liz was a junior. John was constantly listening to his little sister Elizabeth mew on about her boyfriend Travis; how cute he was, how funny he was, and how adorable he was when he was drunk off red wine. John hid his jealously by doing what big brothers are supposed to do -- tease their younger siblings. One day, Liz up and dumps Travis for reasons of her own. The same day, Travis gets into a car accident that wraps his car around a telephone pole; and leaves the boy without a memory.
Liz drags her brother to the hospital, completely flustered that Travis can't remember her; but he seems to remember John. In Travis's confused mind, he had somehow gotten Liz and John confused; and now believes that he's been dating John.
