Steel city calls

Savior

The bar was full of people and full of chatter. It was a bit hard to hear what the guys were talking about, but I managed. Somehow, we had managed to start playing “truth or dare” and now we were coming up with crazy dares. I felt that I needed to get a bit more alcohol, before I could do any of those preposterous dares. As I stood up, I heard Oli call me. I looked at him and raised my eyebrow.
‘Yeh?’ I asked loudly. Oli grinned at me with his lopsided grin.
‘I dare yeh to walk down to teh bar lik’ yer doin’ teh catwalk.’ Everyone laughed, including me.
‘Yeh wan’ meh teh ge’ attention?’ I grinned at him and he nodded his head.
‘And I wan’ teh see yeh shake yer arse.’ I rolled my eyes and gave I Oli a playful glare, before I turned around and started walking towards the bar like I was on the catwalk. You know, hips swaying, face looking all serious/flirty and my posture all confident. I got a few stares and calls, but I ignored them and reached the bar. The waiter turned to me and I grinned.
‘Jack Daniels.’ I told him and he nodded his head, going to the end of the bar. I looked back to the table where everyone sat and immediately smiled to myself.
‘Hey there, sweetie.’ I heard someone call me from beside me. I turned my head and looked at a very attractive face, yet if only he knew that I had no interest what-so-ever.
‘Hi.’ I smiled at him politely, as the waiter came back with a glass of Jack Daniels and placed it in front of me.
‘What are you doing here all alone?’ He purred and I felt him get a tad bit too close. I scoffed to myself and took a large gulp of my drink.
‘Wha’ makes yeh say tha’ I’m alone?’ I smirked at him, as he gave me a smirk back.
‘Well, you’re standing alone at a bar…’ He started, as I took another gulp of my drink and took out some money from my pocket.
‘Tha’ doesn’t mean tha’ I’m alone.’ I told him, not looking at him. I felt his hand on my back.
‘Yeah, you have me.’ I laughed out loud, not really caring how stupid, or impolite I sounded.
‘Nah, you ’re no’ in teh picture.’ I replied, as I took the last gulp of my drink and put the glass and money down for the waiter to take. With that done, I turned around and started making my way back to the guys. I was halfway there when I felt someone grab my arm really harshly and turn me around. It was the douche from the bar.
‘Where you goin’, sweetie?’ He purred, as I tried to get out of his grip. He was clutching my arm really hard and I knew that it was going to bruise.
‘Away from yeh.’ I answered harshly, as I glared. I felt my temper start to rise and I knew that this wasn’t going to end good.
‘Hey, don’t be like that.’ He brought me close to him and I could smell his disgusting cologne. It made me gag a bit.
‘Le’ meh go.’ I told him harshly. This resulted in him gripping my arm tighter. I frowned and turned my head to look at the guys. They were watching me and this guy.
‘So, how much do you want?’ I whipped my head around and looked shocked at the guy, as he kept a smirk on his face.
‘I’m not a hooker.’ I screeched. I was angry now and he was going to suffer.
‘Well… You will be after I’m done with you.’ I clenched my fist and got ready for kicking this guy’s arse.
‘Pay, yeh havin’ a problem?’ I heard Matt behind me and I looked at him. Jona was standing beside him.
‘Yeh. He thinks I’m interested.’ I answered, as the guy tightened the hold on my arm and I knew that I already had a bruise.
‘Well, I suggest yeh le’ her go and be on yeh merry way.’ Matt glared at the man beside me. He only smirked in response.
‘Okay, okay, I get it.’ He gripped my arm even tighter and then let me go. I took a step back and nursed my aching arm, while Matt and the guy had a glare competition.
Everything happened so fast after that. I saw the guy punch Matt out of nowhere, as Matt took a few steps back out of surprise. Jona was about to stop the guy, but without thinking I did something out of pure anger: I punched the guy with so much force I was sure I broke his nose, but also damaged my knuckles. The guy fell to the ground, clutching his face, while I turned to Matt and Jona. Both of them were looking at me surprised.
‘Can we leave?’ I looked at Matt hopefully, as he gave me a small smile and the three of us went to our table. The guys immediately started asking about what happened. I told them a very short version, not telling them that I was called a hooker. They would’ve been really mad and they would’ve caused more havoc than it was necessary. Plus, I just wanted to go home. Matt and me bid the guys farewell and left the bar quickly. We immediately caught a taxi and very soon we were in our apartment, safe from stupid arseholes. I ripped of my heels and threw them to the ground then I took of my jacket and chucked it at a wall.
‘Wha’s wrong, Pay?’ Matt asked, following me into the living room. I started pacing and running a hand through my hair.
‘Will yeh be honest wif me?’ I asked him, not daring to look. I felt a bit stupid of what I was going to ask.
‘Anyfing for yeh.’ Matt answered and I huffed.
‘Do I seriously look like a hooker?’ I asked, finally looking at him and only then noticing that he had gotten quite a bruise on his cheek. And everything was because of me. Matt looked at me strangely and then his face changed to pure rage.
‘He called yeh tha’?’ He asked with his jaw clenched. I slowly nodded my head, as I took a few steps towards him.
‘Pay, I shoul’ ‘ave beat him teh a pulp.’ Matt grabbed my arms and I frowned. He had accidently touched the arm that was bruised.
‘He hurt yeh, eh?’ Matt looked at me sadly and I nodded my head.
‘I’m gla’ tha’ yeh broke his nose.’ Matt grinned at me and I smiled a bit.
‘And nah, yeh don’ look like a hooker. He was an arse.’ Matt enveloped me in a hug and I smiled to myself.
‘Thanks.’ I muttered and I hugged him tighter.
‘Yeh sure ‘re a fire-cracke’.’I grinned to myself, before I stepped back and looked at Matt.
‘Sit down, yeh bloke. I’ll ge’ yeh some ice.’ I smiled at him, as Matt pouted. I gave him a stern look and he sat down on the couch while I went to the kitchen to get some ice. I grabbed the ice from the freezer and wrapped it up in a kitchen towel. Then I went back to the living room. Matt was sprawled on the couch and the TV was on.
‘’ere yeh go.’ I told him, as I waved the towel in front of his face. Matt pouted and shook his head.
‘Stop bein’ a baby.’ I muttered, as I waved the towel once more. Matt shook his head and I rolled my eyes, before I took a step towards him and without warning I straddled his hips. I put the towel on his cheek and stuck out my tongue.
‘Yeh kno’… I kin’ of like this…’ Matt muttered, as he wiggled his eyebrows. I gave him a playful glare.
‘Shudup. Yeh ‘ave a nasty bruise.’ I told him and intentionally added some force on the ice. Matt furrowed his brows.
‘I ge’ tha’. No need teh hurt meh more…’ He muttered and I offered him a soft smile.
‘Here.’ I pecked his lips lightly and grinned at him. Matt watched me surprised.
‘Tha’ will help yeh ge’ better.’
