One Big Happy Family

Alexs POV:
I woke up the next morning on the floor in the hallway with my head on a stuffed hippo. After i got the babys to sleep last night after checking on them at 3 am i just crashed on the floor, i was to tired to walk to the bedroom. I got off the floor and whinned and cursed when i felt the stiffness in my neck. I walked into the living room and Sophie was holding the babys, she smiled at me and i glared.

"Well good morning sunshine, how was the floor?" she asked

"Horrible why didnt you wake me?" i asked

"You looked so peacful" she laughed as i took Casey from her arms

"Yeah well im in pain" i said sitting down

"Aww sorry babe" she said

"Mhmmm" i said

"So uhmm, what do you think of a vacation?" she asked me

"To where?" i asked

"Uhmm...Georgia. My aunt called me this morning and she wants us to visit" she said

"Which aunt?" i asked

"Kira, she didnt come to the wedding because she was having surgery. Shes never met you or the twins and she really wants to" she said

"Okay, how are we getting there. Plane?" i asked i honestly didnt no if they made flights from here to Georgia

"Well i was thinking more along the lines of driving, like a road trip!" she said

"Babe its a almost 12 hour drive, you sure you wanna do this?" i asked

"I do Alex, i need to get out of here and away from my parents and the stress and the drama" she said

"Well when does your aunt want us?" i asked

"Like friday to sunday" she said

"Alright i guess we could go" i said

"Really!?" she said

"Sure it'll be fun to get away" i said

"Yay!, i'll call my aunt later to let her no were coming" she said. This was gonna be a interesting vacation

--Fastforward to friday night--

Right now were on our way to Georgia, we left at 9 this morning and its almost 9pm. We've been on the road for almost twelve hours. Sophie drove for the first five hours and ive been driving almost seven hours. Im beyond exhausted, the only thing keeping me from dozing off is the GPS talking and Sophie talking to me. Twenty minutes later we get to Sophies aunts house and i grab the bags and Sophie gets the twins. We walk up the pathway and her aunt is on the porch.

"Hey guys!" her aunt said

"Hey" we said

"Sophie im so glad to see you, are these the twins?" her aunt said

"Yep, this is Micah and Casey" Sophie said

"Awww their adorable. Congrats on everything!" her aunt said hugging her

"Thanks. Aunt Kira this is my husband Alex, Alex this is my aunt Kira" Sophie said introducing us to eachother

"Hi" i said

"Hey Alex, its so good to finally meet you!" her aunt said

"Yeah its good to meet you to" i said

"So you guys must be really tired, its like a twelve hour drive isnt it?" she said

"Yep" Sophie said

"Well come on in and say hi to everyone and then Sophie you can show Alex where your room is, since you know where the room is. And you guys can put your stuff away. Then come back downstairs and just relax and lets catch up" her aunt said

"Sounds good" Sophie said and we all went inside

I met Sophies uncle and two cousins, they were really nice. After talking for a bit me and Sophie went to our room to put our stuff away. The bed looked so comfy, i jumped onto it and dug my head into the pillow and Sophie laughed.

"This bed is so comfy!" i said

"Yeah i know, come on lets go back downstairs" she said and i whinned because i was getting a tension headache from driving

"Babe i dont feel good, my head really hurts i have like a tension headache. Can i just go to bed?" i asked

"Fine, but only because you drove so long and you dont feel good" she said and kissed me and left the room and i got up and changed my pants and got into the bed and fell asleep

I woke up the next morning feeling really rested. I relaxed into the pillow for a few minutes before relising there was somthing on my head, i reached up and pulled it off and it was a sticky note. It said: Hey sunshine sleepyhead get showered and get downstairs its gonna be a fun day. I laughed at the name she wrote and got up. I showered fast and got dressed and then went downstairs into the kitchen where the noise was coming from and everyone minus one of Sophies cousins were in the kitchen.

"Hey guys" i said

"Hey Alex, coffee?" Sophies aunt said

"Please, i still feel so drained" i said

"You slept for like 12 hours Alex, and you also slept through the babys and me trying to wake you. You were like out, like deeply out so how are you tired" Sophie laughed

"I dont no, wheres the babys?" i asked

"My cousin in feeding them" she said and i nodded as her aunt slid a cup off coffee to me and i thanked her

"So what are we gonna do today?" i asked

"Well we were talking about going to do paddle boating, my uncle was gonna watch Casey and Micah" she said

"Ive never done it before" i said

"Well me and Leah are gonna do it together so you and my cousin Elle will have to go together" she said Leah and Elle are her cousins Leah is 18 and Elle is 16

"Alright" i said

A little while later we left to go to the place with the paddle boats, we got there fairly fast and i was in awe. The boats were shaped like bowls and animals, it was really cool. Sophie and Leah and Sophies aunt went on a boat together and me and Elle went on ours. We both were pretty bad at navigating the boat once we were in the middle of the lake.

"Ive only ever done this like once and that was like five years ago" Elle said

"Ive never done it so this should be interesting" i said and she nodded

"Come on you guys this is so simple, paddle!" Sophie yelled at us and we tryed to steer and we went in a circle

"We know how to paddle its the steering thats hard" i yelled back to her

"Figure it out!" she yelled

"Pull that lever maybe it'll help somehow" i said and Elle pulled it and we paddled and went backwards

"Okay that didnt help" Elle said and pulled the lever back

"Someone will come help us if we get stuck right?" i asked

"Uhmm...no" she said

"That sucks" i said

"Yeah it doe- oh! i got it!" she said excited as we started going straight

"Yes!, high five!" i said and we high fived

We stayed on the paddle boats for about two hours, it was really fun. Me and Elle crashed into like five people because our boat was shaped like a duck and then neck was in the way. After we got off the boats we decided to walk up the street to get some food, we wanted to walk because it was really nice out.

"So Leah, where are you going to college?" Sophie asked Leah

"Uhm i actually applyed to Baltimore university and got it so im going there" Leah said

"Really?!, thats so cool you'll be like a half hour away from me and Alex!. Are you gonna come over and hangout and meet Alex's bandmates and my friends and see Melinda and my parents?" Sophie said

"Yeah totally!" Leah said

"Sweet!" Sophie said

"Looks like we have another potential babysitter!" i said picking Sophie up bridal style

"Ahh put me down, your gonna drop me!" Sophie laughed

"I would never" i said
