We get so complicated

I sat in between Craig and Robert, not thinking about anything else, but Elissa and Max. 

I almost started to burst into tears, but held them back. 

Craig stood up all of a sudden. "I'm hungry, you guys want anything?" 

I shook my head sadly as Robert got up. "I'm going with him. Are you sure you don't want anything?" 

I shook my head again as the two headed out of the waiting room to get food.

I waited there miserably for news on Max.
