Under My Armor, I Lost It All

When I woke up the next morning. I found myself stuck between Zacky and the wall.
I looked around and saw that everyone was asleep.
Except Zacky.
Oh the joy.
"How ya holdin' up Alms?" he asked quietly, probably checking to see if I was gonna start balling again.
"I'll be just fine. For now anyway.." I sighed.
Tears threatened to leak out of my already sore eyes.
I still couldnt believe it.
My mother.
Dead.
And there was no way to bring her back.
How I wish I could die now and get it over with.
"Don't you dare think what I think your thinking about." Zacky said in a stern voice.
"Im sorry." I whispered.
A tear drop fell from my eye and hit Zacky's arm.
"I need to find Aiden. We have to go to the Lawyer's." I said.
Where the hell was my phone?
Oh well.
I got up and walked to the kitchen.
Dialing Aiden's cell, I jumped on the counter and played with the line connecting the phone to the box.
"Hello?"
"Hey Aiden."
"Alms you okay?"
"Okay as I could be right now.."
"When do you want me to pick you up?"
"Soon. As in whenever you get your ass over here and get me."
"Haha Alms. I'll be there shortly."
"Aiden, what happened to George?"
"Funny story actually. He was kinda hit by a drunk driver last night and is in critical care."
"Ohh. Is he gonna make it?"
"Hope not."
"Kay Aiden. See you soon."
"Later dear"

"So..Can I come?" I heard Zackys voice ask quietly.
I nodded.
"I'd like that." I whispered.
He pulled me into his arms and hugged me.
"It's gonna be okay." he assured.
"I hope you're right.." I sighed.
Zacky gave me some cereal to eat but I wasn't hungry.
Then I heard Aidens car honk.
"Time to go." I sighed.
Zacky nodded.
On our way out Brian tripped Zacky and he fell on top of Matt who shoved him onto Johnny.
"Mature fellas. Very mature." Johnny mumbled.
I just shook my head and walked out to Aiden's car.
Zacky followed suit and sat in the back.
"Where are Paige and Skylar?" I ask.
"They couldnt make it." Aiden responded.
I put Armor For Sleep in the cd player.
And turned it to Truth about Heaven.
I sighed.
And stared out the window.
It was raining.
How could I not tell before?
I wasn't even cold.
And I'm the one in jeans and a long sleeve.
Rain usually makes me happy.
But its not working too well.
Aiden turned off Armor For Sleep.
And put on Green Day.
"Come on Alms. You know this one!" Aiden said as 'American Idiot' began.
I just stared out the window until we stopped.
"You know you can't go in there soaking wet right?" Aiden said.
And Zacky sniggered.
"I got her a hoodie Aiden. Don't worry." he said holding up a black hoodie.
He put it on me and helped me out of the car.
Now I was completely numb.
Mute.
I didn't want to talk about it.
So I just kept quiet.
We walked into an office that smelt like old lady and wet dog.
"Hello there Aiden, I assume?" she said looking at my brother, "And this is Almondy. And you are?" She looked at Zacky.
"Just a friend." he stated simply.
She nodded and got right into buisness.
"As you know your mother didn't have very much money saved up, but she did have an account put away just in case she did die. She bought a house in back in Hunnington Beach, California. As a matter of fact, it isn't far from the house you lived in with your father.
She wrote here that the house belongs to Aiden, and he has to take Almondy. Paige and Skylar have the house out here in San Fransico until they sell it. George gets nothing. All her worldly possessions go to you, Almondy." she finished her statement.
I was suprised she said that all in one breath.
I nodded my head and got up from my chair.
She gave what she could to Aiden and we left.
"Guess it's a good thing I've decided to start staying with my mom all year and only visiting my dad a couple weeks in the summer." Zacky said with a small smile.
"What about the rest of the guys?" I whispered.
He chuckled lightly, "They're all moving back as well. San Fransico wasn't a great place for them. Now that I think about it, you never actually met my buddy Jimmy, huh?"
I shook my head, "I've only caught glances at him."
Zacky was grinning like the chesire cat now, "You're going to love him Almondy! I know for a fact that he is going to love you as well!"
I stopped walking after he said that.
How did he know for sure that this Jimmy guy was going to love me, or that I would love him.
Especially since I don't think I could love anyone new right now...
