On The Playground
Abigor
One night, my parents had to meet with Miss Lilly. I sat on a swing while they talked with her. A person riding a horse showed up in the tall grass. He offered his hand toward me. I took it and was hoisted onto his horse.
We rode through the tall grass to a lake far away from the playground. Instead of talking, the man pointed to the water. The water was as black as the night sky. I walked closer and closer to the water, anxious to see what was going to happen.
"Hecate!" my mother called.
I looked to my new friend, "I have to go."
My tiny feet carried me back to my mother who scooped me into her arms. This was the last day I ever got to play on that playground.
