X-Men Evolutions: Of Kings and Pawns

Brotherhood

Humans, they had no idea what was coming to them. Erik looked on them with plain disgust as they went on oblivious to the man watching. He was one of the men they had learned to fear, the one they should have feared the most. Erik Lehnsherr was the one who would bring about their end. His hatred towards the humans made it all the more entertaining for him to play with them in his current position. Erik kept his hand low, building up his control of the magnetism that surrounded the area. Erik wanted to laugh at the humans for their stupidity, even with the daily warnings of him and his brotherhood they hadn't learnt not to wear metal. Clearly they were too selfish to let go of their worthless possessions. Erik brought his fingers closer together, causing the humans to writhe in pain at the sudden pressure Erik exalted on them. After satisfying his desire Erik released them and watched as they looked around bleary eyed to find the cause of their discomfort. They didn't look at him.

His followers, who would only refer to him as Magneto, were on the search for other mutants to follow his cause. Erik knew they had little time to waste now that Charles had opened his school for gifted youngsters. With his mind now on Charles Xavier, Erik couldn't help but think back, he thought of the last time they had been in each other's company. The events in Cuba a year ago had not gone as Erik had hoped. Erik had wanted Charles to join him in his fight against the humans, who hated and feared them, but Charles had not wanted to be a part of it. He couldn't change Charles' opinion of the humans, unfortunately, because he had not been subjected to the worst of them like Erik had. Erik knew what evil beings mankind could be and he knew that in order to protect his fellow mutants he would have to subdue them, if not kill them.

Erik stood up and walked amongst the humans, corporate officials and corrupt members of the government. Erik ignored their wretched existences and waited for any indication from Emma Frost that mutants had been located and converted to his cause. Although she was not as powerful as Charles had been, her telekinesis was useful to him. Erik stopped when he reached a shop window filled with televisions showing the same speech. Erik smiled as he watched. John F. Kennedy was the most powerful human in the United States and Erik knew that he would be the perfect casualty to subdue the humans. With the death of the most powerful man on earth Erik would show the humans who the better species were. The mutants would rise up to rule and no one, especially not Charles Xavier, would be able to stop him.
