Katerina Jacobs:

“I heard they’re dating.”

“I heard that she was on Shane Abbots; then jumped to him.”

“I heard he was on Allyson Williams; then jumped to her.”

“I heard that they both played Shane Abbots.”

Rumour after rumour is what we heard, but Jack and I didn’t care. We were overwhelmed by this new relationship; and the strong feelings alongside it. Our group didn’t care either; they were happy for us... And Alex promised to make the rumours stop by the end of the week.

Yeah, he was that powerful. Plus, he was sucking up to Raven; so of course he was going to be nice and stop the rumours about his love interest’s best friend and his best friend.

Jack and I walked aimlessly around the corridors. “Urgh, chemistry. I HATE chemistry. I mean what’s the point? It’s a bunch of letters that make equations. It’s like potions; I feel like Harry Potter without the cool stuff.” He pouted miserably, and I couldn’t help but laugh. “I don’t know why you’re complaining, you get sent out of that lesson all the time!” I exclaimed, poking his side.

He casually slipped his hand into mine, and looked at me adoringly. “You know me too well. Hopefully they’ll send me to your lesson. But they’ll probably send me to physics, and you’ll get Alex.” He told me with a sad look. “But then lunch comes around, and we’ll once again be united.” I said gleefully. He clapped his hands and squealed like a child.

He escorted me to my biology room; and planted a small kiss on my lips. “See you soon.” He whispered, before he winked at me and ran off. I watched him until he was out of sight, and then walked into my biology lesson.

10 minutes later; Jack’s chemistry teacher had Jack and Alex trailing behind him. “Hm, can I leave Mr. Gaskarth here please?” The teacher asked. “OH MAAAAAAN!” Jack cried, cursing quietly to himself. My teacher sighed, and nodded. Alex skipped over the chair beside me, and took a seat. “Much love Jacky-kins, but I get your girl.” Alex said, swinging an arm around me. I shot him a dirty look.

Jack smirked. “I get Raven; so up yours.” Alex’s face fell as he watched Jack skip out of this room towards physics. “Ah well; I get bonding time with Kit Kat!” He said merrily, and I couldn’t help but laugh with him. “You’re happy for someone who just missed out on time with Raven... And got me instead!” I replied dryly.

“I’m actually growing quite fond of you. You make me chuckle; and please; it takes a lot for this guy to chuckle.” He said proudly. I poked his side, and he giggled childishly. “Ok! Ok! I giggle when I’m tickled; I’m a ticklish guy.” He said, pouting slightly.

The two girls in front of me started whispering loudly. “Do you reckon they’ve got an affair going on?” One said. The other looked back, and nodded. “They sure seem cosy.” Alex growled, catching their attention. “Shut up; before I make you shut up.” He snapped harshly, and the girls immediately bowed their heads and continued their work, without speaking another word.

“Wow, you’re good.” Alex shot me a toothy smile. “That’s how I roll innit.” He said, before kissing his teeth. I had to hold in my laughter. “You know Gaskarth; you’re quite funny.” I spoke sincerely. “Oh please darling, call me Alex. Enough with ‘Gaskarth’ rubbish.” He spoke with a disgraceful British accent. I laughed lightly, and my teacher glared at us both.

We were like that for the rest of the lesson. Alex was actually really nice when you got to know him a bit better; and you could see that he was actually a little bit insecure around those he didn’t know so well. I began to see that he was only mean to make himself feel better; because the death of his brother had really affected him.

He spoke of Raven so passionately as well, which made me smile. It showed me that underneath all of that hate he radiated towards people, he could love too. It made me realise how lucky she actually was. She had someone who would support her and cherish her. I had that too thankfully enough.

He apologised profusely about what he did too; he told me he didn’t mean to; it was literally that he wanted to make people feel how he did, so hurt, upset... He opened up to me, and I honestly felt quite flattered about it.

Lesson drew to an end, and Alex and I skipped to lunch with our arms linked. With our new perfected hand shake done, we parted to our love interests, and spoke to them about our new-found closeness.

“I never told you that I forgive you by the way.” I told Jack, and I perched under his arm. He smiled goofily; and planted a kiss on the top of my head. “I already l knew babe.” I blushed. I like being his ‘babe’. It was a nice feeling.

“Anyway, are you two coming to our rehearsal tonight?” Rian cut in, with Kara snuggling into his side. Raven and I looked at each other, before nodding eagerly. “Good! Kat, you’ll be meeting Zack; he’s pretty awesome. He goes to Towson School.” Kara told me and I smiled in response.

“You must be Katerina! God, Jack’s been raving on about you for ages! Glad I can put a face to a name. I’m Zack Merrick by the way.” He introduced himself. “Lovely to meet you too!” I looked at the blonde girl tucked into his arm, looking equally as nervous as me. “OH! This is my girlfriend Roxanne Keeler, but she prefers Roxy. First time meeting everyone.” Zack said, kissing the top of her head lovingly.

“Hi Roxy!” I exclaimed happily; and her blue eyes glistened; her nervousness disappearing slightly. “Hi Katerina; lovely to meet you; and it’s great to meet all of you. You’re all Zack talks about!” She laughed. “That’s because we’re sexy. And secretly; we all bum each other.” Jack said shiftily. “Yeah, I always did expect Zack to bum. He seems gay.” She replied seriously, and we all laughed at Zack’s shocked face.

“Oh baby, this is why I love you so much.” Zack spoke sarcastically, and she giggled in reply. She stepped on her tip-toes and kissed his cheek, and Zack melted against her. Zack was basically wrapped around her finger. They were just adorable together!

Jack guided me over to a tattered chair; and sat me down. The other girls soon joined, and we all watched the boys prepare themselves for their first song. “Can we play ‘Circles’ guys?” Alex asked, and the boys seemed to understand and nod immediately. They started discreetly looking at Raven; and I assumed that Alex must have written it about her. And so, they began.

The song came to an end, and we girls cheered wildly; except Raven, who was looking at Alex with such strong adoration. She stood up suddenly, and everything fell silent. Alex looked nervous; and Raven look bold, confident. She walked towards him, and without even a warning, she pressed her lips into his.

We all gasped, and watched them together. “Well... That was a shock.” Jack suddenly broke the silence, and I had to laugh.

The boys were upstairs preparing food for us all after they’d performed a few of their songs, while we girls sat in a circle; chatting. “You and Alex are cute!” Kara exclaimed. “Does this mean you’re back together?” I asked. She nodded, and a blush spread across her cheeks. “We’re going back to his to talk things over afterwards too.” She said. “Oh, someone’s getting laid tonight!” Roxy suddenly piped in, and we all set off into hysterical fits of laughter.

The girl was absolutely hilarious!

“I feel like a WAG now.” Kara laughed. “We’re like groupies for specific group members. How cool are we?” Raven laughed. “Hey, as long as the sex is good...” Roxy then added again; and we couldn’t help it as the tears spilled down our cheeks; we laughed that hard.

“You know what? I see us being really good friends!” I exclaimed, pulling Roxy into a group hug with the others. And it was true. I’d never felt as good as I felt now; with friends around me and upstairs; and a goofy, but amazing boyfriend too; that I was falling hard for.
