The Real Story of Heaven and Hell

I honestly hadn’t spent much time alone with Brian since returning from hell. He was either busy with God knows what, we weren’t alone or I was with Lil. I had a lot of questions I needed to ask him. Like this constant need to know where he was. Did he feel this way too? What did it mean to be bonded? Did it have any physical effects? Was it a forever kind of thing? I let out a deep sigh. I had way more questions than answers.

I went into what I called my training room to do some yoga hoping that would calm my mind only to find I was too restless for it. I found myself walking with no direction in mind. Soon I heard the voice that had the power to make me go boneless. I crept up to where I heard Brian in a heated discussion. It turned out to be Zacky, Brian, Johnny, and Matt. I couldn’t tell what they were saying but it was obvious Brian wasn’t happy. I hurried down the hall when they all stood up. Last thing I wanted was to be caught snooping, even if it was unintentional.

I ducked into the first room which turned out to be the kitchen. When I turned around I quickly looked down. Lil and Jimmy were in here, arms around each other, I think he had been kissing her. “Oh, sorry.” I muttered, as I back out of the kitchen feeling like an intruder.

“Sister!” Lil squealed as she all but jumped on me, almost knocking me over in the process. “Are you feeling okay?”

I nodded. “Yeah, everything’s working fine. How’s your stomach?” When she didn’t answer
I snapped my fingers in her face. “Earth to Lil.”

I looked at Jimmy and he just shrugged.

Lil blinked and it was like she had just woken up or something. “Sorry, what?”

I shook my head. “I asked if you wanted to watch a movie with me.” I pouted at her confused expression while Jimmy just grinned. Evidently that angel was okay with a little lying. “You don’t love me anymore.”

Lil rolled her eyes at me. “Girl, I love you but if you say that again I’ll slap you stupid.” She tightened her arms around me until I almost couldn’t breathe. “Of course. I’ll even watch one of your sappy ass movies.”

“Good. We’re watching Valentine’s Day.” I laughed at the horror stricken look on her face.

“Fine, but after that we’re watching something with blood and gore in it.” Lil warned her before she finally let go and walked over to the stove.

I headed out giving Lil and Jimmy the privacy to say goodbye. I knew Jimmy wouldn’t join us and that was my doing. Before I had been bonded to Syn I hadn’t exactly been the best with sharing Lil. I can’t explain it but now it was like I was whole again. Like the part that had been missing for the last few weeks was suddenly found.

I dug out Valentine’s Day and popped it into the dvd player. A few minutes later Lil joined me. We spent the rest of the night eating popcorn and alternating between romance movies and action movies. At around midnight we headed back towards our room.

As we got ready for bed I brought up a subject I wasn’t sure how to talk about. “Hey Lil?” I asked as I sat cross legged on the bed.

“Yeah.” She hollered back from the bathroom.

“I wanna talk to you about something.”

Lil came out almost immediately looking worried. “What’s going on? Are you feeling sick again?”

I shook my head no. “I just want to discuss our sleeping arrangements.”

Lil flopped down on the bed. “Sure thing. You want Brian to start crashing in here again?”

Again I shook my head no. “I was thinking…” I cleared my throat trying to find my voice.

Lil blew her hair out of her eyes in exasperation. “Oh for God’s sake just spit it out Ser.”

“Okay okay.” I looked down at my shorts, picking at the hem line. “I was thinking that it was
about time you and Jimmy had more alone time.”

Lil sighed. “I already told you that you’re my sister and I love you.”

I stopped her before she could say anymore. “It’s not like that. I think I might like to try sleeping with Brian.”

Now that got Lil’s attention. “Say WHAT?!”

I waved my hands frantically. “NO! Not like that! Like you and me, only me and Brian.”

I waited for Lil to have another outburst but instead she got quiet and then laughed, hard. “I’ve been wondering how to talk to you about this very subject.”

“So you have been wanting some alone Jimmy time?” I asked watching her carefully.

“Well yeah but Cory won’t let us get anywhere close to anything. She takes cock blocker to a whole new level.”

I smiled wickedly. “Well if I was to leave after she was asleep then she’d never know.”

“Seraphina! Are you suggesting we lie and sneak around?!” Lil exclaimed in fake outrage.

I laughed. “Yeah I guess I am.”

Lil squished me in a bone crushing hug. “That’s my sister!”

That’s how Jimmy found us hugging the daylights out of while in the midst of a giggle fit.

“Should I be afraid? Cause I am.”

Lil and I laughed even harder. “No. It’s cool. But tell me something…”

Jimmy raised a brow at me. “Yes GG?”

Jimmy called me GG instead of God Girl or Sera or anything else I get called around here. I smiled up at him. “Is everyone uhhh in their rooms for the night?”

He looked at me and then Lil. “Yeah Brian’s in his room.”

I rolled my eyes. “That’s not what I asked. Like what about uhhhh Cory?”

Jimmy laughed. “Yeah the cock blocker is being entertained I think.”

I just looked at him.

“I so don’t want to know.” Lil said shuddering.

“Okay…” I slid off the bed and walked over to Jimmy. Without saying a word I wrapped my arms around him tight. “You take good care of her okay?”

Jimmy smiled down at me as he picked me up in a hug that crushed the bones still intact from Lil’s hug. “Of course.”

Once he put me down I slipped out of the room giving the two love birds some space. I felt like I was being pulled down the hallway, towards Brian’s room.

I was just about to knock when he spoke. “Come in Malaikana.”

I opened the door and walked in silently. The room was completely dark, well until he
turned the light on his nightstand on. “Hi.”

The lady killer smile he gave me stopped my heart. “Come here.” He pulled back the covers for me to join him in his bed.

I crawled into his bed snuggling into him immediately. It sounds stupid but I immediately felt a sense of peace wash over me.

“You get kicked out again?” He asked after placing a kiss to the top of my head.

I traced the tattoo on his chest as we talked. “No. I just wanted to be here. I can leave if you want.”

I felt his arms tighten around me. “No.” I smiled at the slight growl in his voice. “You’re my mate you belong with me now.”

I smiled liking the sound of that. “Tell me more about this bonding. I don’t really know anything.”

I closed my eyes as I felt his hand running through my short hair. “It’s like marriage only much more intense. We’ve bonded our life forces together, combined who we are.”

A moment of shear fear swept through me. I didn’t want him tied to me like that, not when I knew I was destined to die.

He lifted my face to look at me, his handsome face twisted in worry. “Why are you afraid?”

I blinked up at him. How did he know what I was thinking? “Can you read my mind now?” I asked chewing on my lip nervously.

Brian chuckled. “No but I can sense what you’re feeling, just like you can sense mine.”

“I can?” I was frowning trying to figure it out.

“You’re thinking too much, just feel.”

I closed my eyes and sorted through my feelings. I suddenly felt a spark of primal lust.

“Focus Seraphina.” He whispered against my ear causing chills to race down my spine.

I gasped as I did what he said and I felt the spark turn into a flame. My eyes flew open when I felt his lips on my neck. “You made your point.” I said pushing him off of me which only made him chuckle. “Is there anything else I should know?”

He let his fingers trail lightly over the bare skin of my arm. “You can’t run away from me ever again.”

I raised my brow at him. “That so?”

“Yes. I can find you anywhere now thanks to my blood flowing in your veins.” He smirked at my surprised expression. “Not that you’d want to anyhow.”

“Awfully sure of yourself.” I said with a roll of my eyes.

His face became very serious. “I’m not joking. It will be hard to be away from me now.”

I frowned. “Is there any way to get out of this?”

The sudden coldness in his gaze chilled me. “No Seraphina you are stuck with me until you die.”

I placed my hand on his face knowing he took what I said the wrong way. Thanks to our connection I could feel the hurt he was refusing to show. “I meant for you. I don’t want you to be stuck with me.”

His eyes softened as he ran a finger down my cheek. “I am not ‘stuck with you’. You are a beautiful caring woman any man would be lucky to have.”

“Just not you.” I whispered as I felt my heart breaking again.

“Seraphina.” He breathed.

I shook my head. Nothing had changed. I started to get out of the bed only to have Brian pull me back into it, holding me to him. “Ina ƙaunar ka.”

“I don’t know what that means.” I whispered refusing to look at him, my heart couldn’t stand it.

He made me look up at him only this time he didn’t say anything, instead he placed the gentlest kiss on my lips. “It means I love you.”

“You…you love me?” I whispered barely believing my ears.

He ran his finger back and forth over my cheek. “Yes Seraphina. I love you.”

“Then why did you leave?” I asked tears starting to blur my vision.

His eyes gentled ever so slightly. “I’m a demon, a selfish one at that, you deserve better.”

He left because he didn’t think he was good enough for me, not because he didn’t love me. I smiled up at him. “If you were selfish you would have stayed, not left. You’re a better man then you give yourself credit for.”

Brian of course snorted at this. “So says the angel.”

I poked him in the chest. “Don’t you forget it mister.”

Brian chuckled as I snuggled into his chest. “Yes dashuria ime, but it is well after two am and you need to sleep.”

“I’m not tired.” I said even as I found myself yawning. This was Brian’s doing, he was bending my will.

“Shhhh.” He cooed as he held me to him.

I finally gave up fighting it and let the steady rythm of his heart lull me to sleep. It was the best night’s sleep I ever had, not one nightmare woke me up that night.
