I'm Me Again.
This feels good, I'm me again. Well, I was me all along, I just couldn't remember anything about Damon. He's pretty much the biggest part of my life so it's safe to say I wasn't myself. But I'm back to my old self now and never felt better.
"I want this summer to be great." I tell Elena as I lay on my bed, Damon next to me of course. I've barely left his side, it feels like we've got catching up to do
"After the year we've had, it better be fucking spectacular." Elena said as she lounged on my floor with Stefan
"Elena using profanity, something you don't see everyday." Damon smirked
"I didn't need your input."
"I know what I wanna do today! I want pizza and I wanna go to the beach." I said happily
"I've lived here pretty much all my life, which is a very long time and...there's no beaches in Mystic Falls." Stefan added
"And I've lived here for almost 18 years and I know where every body of water in the surrounding areas are. Closest beach is 40 minutes away, 20 if Damon drives!" I smirk
"Beach it is then!" Damon cheered
It was settled, we were going to the beach. But we were going to eat pizza first. I got out of bed and went into my closet to change, Elena went into her room and Stefan followed.
"So when's the last time you've been to the beach?" I yell from the closet
"Uhhh...long time. 80s?"
What?! I pop my head out of the closet, "Are you serious? That was like 30 years ago!"
"I'm aware." He smirked
I finished getting dressed and me and Damon went downstairs. Stefan was sitting on the couch with Rachel.
"Elena's not done yet?" I asked, "Wow, she's taking longer than I usually do."
"Nope, I told her I'd just wait down here. Rachel was just telling me about her boyfriend." Stefan said
"Aiden? I haven't seen him around a while."
"Well, to be fair. You've been in a depressed mood for the longest time. Now all of a sudden it's like somebody slipped you an anti-depressant and everything's better" Rachel said
"Right."
"Sorry, too harsh? Anyway, he's coming over pretty soon."
Elena was finally downstairs and ready to go
"Oh well we're about to get out of here. Tell him I said hey. Be good." I laughed
The four of us left the house and first went to get something to eat. We didn't eat at the grill like usual, but at me and Elena's favorite pizza shop. I slid into the booth and grabbed Damon's arm, pulling him along with me. I was so happy, I just wanted to be close to him and he sure didn't mind at all. Stefan and Elena sat across from us.
"So what do we want on our pizza?" Elena asked the table
"It's not like it really matters to me and Stefan." Damon had to be sarcastic, I just laughed.
"Okay, screw you." Elena smiled as she flipped him off. "Stefan and Savannah, what kind of pizza do you want?"
"Extra cheese." I answered
"Whatever you want, Elena" Stefan said
"Told you he didn't care" Damon smirked
I laughed again and Damon received a glare from Elena, he was the best at getting under her skin; it was hilarious, sometimes Stefan even had to stop himself from laughing.
"What's everybody drinking?" The waitress asked
"Coke." Elena answered
"Same for me." I said
"Heineken for me and one for my brother." Damon said. Stefan just looked at him and we all looked at Stefan. "Come on, live a little."
"Yeah, one for me" Stefan agreed and sent the waitress away
"You're such a bad influence" I say
"He can learn a lot from me"
"But not too much" Elena warned
"Yes, mother"
After our drinks arrived, we ordered our pizza. Me and Damon kept conversation with Stefan and Elena but at times couldn't help but slip into our own little world. My phone soon went off and I dug in my purse to get it. A text from Caroline.
"What R U doing today?"
- Caroline
"Going 2 the beach w/ Damon, Elena&Stefan."
- Savannah
"Double dating, cute. Meet U there?"
- Caroline
"Hell yes! U can leave the house? Ur all better now?"
- Savannah
"Sure can :) See U there"
- Caroline
Once I inform everyone that we're meeting Caroline and Matt at the beach, we leave the pizza shop and head there. We take my car of course, cause its the sweetest ride out of the bunch :)
The best thing about the beach? Seeing Damon without his shirt off, ahhh-wooo! Sure, I can see that anytime I please but there's just something about a guy on a hot summer day. at the beach. shirtless.
"Summer wouldn't be summer without Caroline Forbes!" I smiled when I saw her and gave her a hug
"There was no way I was staying in the house all summer!"
"The doctor said she can do things, but nothing too extreme." Matt cut in as he gave me and Elena hugs and said hi to the guys
"We'll manage, everything will be fine." Elena smiled
We hung at the beach all day with our guys, it was great. We even played a little beach football, this was probably one of Damon and Stefan's favorite normal things to do. I was on Stefan's team. We lost. As night started to fall, Caroline and Matt went home, I was ready to leave also.
"I'm cold, and ready to leave." Elena said
"Me too." I said as Damon's arm wrapped around me. I picked my tote bag up from the sandy ground and brushed it off and we headed for the car. "I wanna talk to you when we get home."
"Oh no! She's breaking up with me!" Damon laughed
"Oh yes, it's definitely break up time."
"And where exactly is home?"
"I wanna stop at my house to get clothes then we can go to yours"
"Okay." We got in the car and proceeded home. This time me and Elena sat in the back while the boys took the front, I'm so glad they get along these days rather than hating and trying to kill each other.
When we went inside, the only people home were dad and Amy.
"Hey, just getting some clothes then I'm leaving" I say
"Me too" Elena says
"I would object cause I know where you're going. But you're happy so I won't say anything. Just don't...ya know...do..that" Dad managed to get out
Me and Elena just laughed as we walked up the steps, Damon and Stefan waited in the living room. They could of just waited in the car but Stefan said something about respect and..I don't know, I wasn't fully listening.
As soon as we got to the Salvatore house, I said goodnight to Elena and Stefan and I headed towards Damon's room. I laid back on his bed and suddenly, I couldn't find my words.
"You wanted to talk? Talk." Damon said as he laid on his stomach so he could face me
"You love me right?"
"No, I hate you."
"Damon!"
"What?" He laughs, "It was a dumb question. Come on, what's up?" Damon said as he put his arm around me
( 'If you wanna be together forever, you have to live forever' I remember what Lexi's boyfriend told me when he was about to kill Damon.

"I want you to turn me"
"You want me to do what!? Why?"
"The obvious. So we'll always be together. What would you do if we weren't together anymore?"
"I'd go insane. But are you sure that's what you want?"
"I know I never wanna be without you"
"But I like you human" Damon buried his face in my neck and grinned
"I bet" I laugh as I push him away
"I'll do it because I want to be with you forever. But, you have to be sure. It's a painful process and there's no going back. Are you sure you wanna be stuck, just as you are now...forever?"
"I'm pretty pleased with myself right now." I laugh, "Yes."
"I want you to take a long time to think about it. I'm not doing it if you're not 100% sure."
"I'll take the whole school year"
"Good."
"I want this summer to be great." I tell Elena as I lay on my bed, Damon next to me of course. I've barely left his side, it feels like we've got catching up to do
