Disenchanted

Chapter 13

“Sissy!”

Kitty rolled her eyes as her youngest sister tackled her into the snow, in the back yard.

“Bailey, enough!”

Kitty smiled, as her mother called her daughter, “Let your sister be.”
Bailey frowned at her older sister, but walked towards her Mother and middle sibling, “She dreaming!”

Bonnie, the middle child of the Jenkin’s rolled her eyes and hoisted up the youngest Jenkin’s
onto her waist, “Icky boys with cooties?”

Kitty rolled her eyes from her perch in the middle of the yard, watching as Bailey made a disgusted face, and nodded, “Presents!”

“That’s next week dumby.” Bonnie teased, earning a glare from their mother.
Bailey frowned, causing Kitty to chuckle.

“Bailey, theirs a present for you in my trunk, but that’s the only one you can open now.”
Bailey’s eyes widened with excitement, and she crawled down from her sister’s grasp and ran into the house, Bonnie following her rapidly.

Mrs. Jenkin’s stared at her daughter who sat on a large blanket in the middle of the snowy yard, their White Shepard dog Wesley, next to her.

“It’s getting dark sweet heart.” her mother called, “Come in soon allright.”

With a sigh Kitty laid down, allowing her hair to become moist from the snow as her dog licked her hand. Kitty couldn’t help but giggle at the thought of Draco’s lips on hers from the days prior. Her free hand traced her lips, where she smiled once more. Draco had yet to call her on the mobile, but imagining him, he probably didn’t even know how to get Pounds.

Opening her eyes, Kitty froze realizing how dark it was. But as she glanced around her, she reached into her coat for her wand, at the sound of a loud yelp. Her breath shaking, she sat up, the house was not in sight, glancing at the blanket beside her, she froze seeing the mark where it had been drug through the field.

“Wesley?” she whispered, hearing another loud yelp from her right. Shaking she gripped her wand tighter, her hand shaking as she whispere ‘Lumos’. Gulping hard, she let the light guide her way through the field, where another yelp broke through the night air.

“Wesley!” she cried out. Standing still as the whimpering and yelps came to a cease. She trembled out of fear and cold as she heard the bristles of long grass move against the wind, and the occasional crunch sent her spinning around, wand at the ready. She set out running however, when she heard a snarl from behind her. Her heart beating loudly in her chest, she continued to run, the sound of someone apparating and dissaparating on either side, giving her more panic.

“STUPEFY!”

Kitty screamed as a red spell was cast at her, nearly hitting her square in the face, as she ran, before coming to a clearing in the field. Where she froze, fear consuming her and making her almost scream once more, as she stared at her beloved dog, that lay towards the edge of the cut crops, Fenrir Greyback hovered over the creature.

Silent tears streaming down her face, as she did her best to breath quietly, but stopped as she stepped on a twig, causing the mutant Death Eater, to glance in her direction. And as he did, Kitty pointed her wand directly at him. For along side Wesley, lay the body of a Muggle Boy, from town, who was her age, whom she had grown up with since before Hogwarts.

“He’s not dead Mudblood.” Greyback sneered as the boy gagged and choked at the Werewolves bites seeped deep into his blood stream.

“He might as well be.” Kitty snarled as the boy’s body shook dangerously.
Greyback, sneered, exposing stained red teeth, before he dissaparated. Leaving the terrified girl starring at the mutilated bodies.

“DRACO!”
The blond boy sat up from his bed, and shoved the Daily Prophet aside, as he heard his Mother’s and Aunt’s voice from the main floor of the house. The moving pictures on the cover of the paper, as soon as it had arrived sent his heart into panic.

MUGGLE’S ARE NO LONGER THE ONLY ONE’S IN DANGER-Several Muggle-borns have been attacked, in what is supposed to be a safe and wonderful Holiday. As he read through the article, he read of the names of the newly deceased.
Happy that under Muggle-Borns’ he didn’t find any familiar names, especially Kitty’s. What did cause him alarm was the fact that a Muggle Boy was killed in the town of Amersham, where Kitty lived. The attacker’s name Fenrir Greyback.

“DRACO! COME DOWN NOW!”

At the sound of Auntie Bella’s voice, Draco snarled and threw open his door before making his way down the grand staircase of his home. It was colder, and as he glanced out the window, he saw fresh sheets of snow covering the ground. He couldn’t help but smile, at the thought of he and Kitty walking through the forest-

“Grab his arms, Draco.”

The petrified boy, stared at the Werewolf, who snarled as Bellatrix, with a wave of her wand, caused Fenrir to now have a thin gash across his face.

“The Dark Lord, told you not to be sighted.” Bellatrix hissed darkly, “You were sighted by Muggles, not to mention a Mudblood!”

Greyback pulled away and shoved Draco to the ground, causing the boy’s Mother to glare with hatred at the werewolf.

“I was following orders, what else would you have me do?” he hissed.

“Be more careful, about what your task is.” Bellatrix sneered, “Like Draco, no one but the Severus knows of what he must do. He does not flaunt what the Dark Lord has asked of him.”
Narcissa watched as her son, remained silent, if possible his face becoming much more pale.
