Mariano Knight is just a simple sixteen year old boy with a simple life until he meets... the others. Enter Maximo, one bad kid who has a bad streak longer than any criminals rap sheet. Mariano is weary of the street rat but when he's told of a magical world that co-exists with his own he isnt sure what to believe.Things get worse when he accidentially insults the ruler of Nit Creuats; an elite group of killing machines hell bent on taking over the world as we know it, and thanks to Mariano they're first target is his hometown of Tewsburry, Mass. Mariano finds himself in a battle for power that's been going on for centuries and the weight of the world on his shoulders.
