Some Go Mad

The Doctor meant to stop.

He would recount the stories at night. At night when it was silent and even his own mind ran slow. At night he would replay the horrors that he'd seen. His friends falling, strangers running. The only problem was, in space, it's always night. In the abysses between the stars, it was never dawn.

The Doctor meant to stop.

When he sees them running again, running from him, he does the only thing he knows how to do in that moment of snapping emotions: He runs away. He runs just as fast as them. And it's no coincidence when he finds himself in the deep, smoggy streets of London.

The Doctor meant to stop.

But how could he? How could he stop when this girl seemed tied to him? Tied to him by coincidence that didn't exist. And with a name that rang sweet in his mind, he just couldn't stop the words from coming and the adventure that always followed.

The Doctor just couldn't stop.

Doctor Who does not belong to either of us. We do, however, own the original designs and plot put into this story. All familiar character names belong to BBC and their respective creators.
