Failure is the Best Way to Learn

Meet Ellena Robinson

Failure is the best way to learn.

That's what my therapist just told me, right before she told me to right a stupid journal entry.

My name is Ellena Robinson. I'm 16 years old and I go to school at Ridge View Point. I live with my mom, my brother Eric, and my sister Elizabeth. My best friends are Ally Francis, Riley Richmond, and Destiny Hope.
We were all born on April 4, 1994 at 4 a.m.
We all met on our fourth birthday at our preschool.
I come here every Tuesday morning so I don't have to participate in gym.
My dad is dead.
I've been depressed since I was 12.
I have a secret boyfriend that no one else knows about.
Except you...and of course my best friends.
I think that's it.
Oh.
I have no idea what I want to do with my life. A question you seem to ask everytime I come in here. So just like...stop asking...
Ellena

I look up as I finish writing and shove the journal aside.

"Look I know you said 'failure is the best way to learn' and all but I've failed at many things and I haven't learned a thing."

"You will. Times up. I'll see you next week."

Of course you will.
