Punch Me, Kiss Me

I am Gerard Way and, my life was normal.

I had a Dad who worked a lot trying to provide for his lower-middle class family. A stay at home Mom who always had worm baked goods for me after school. And I had a little brother who wanted to be just like me.

I went to public school, made decent grades, not many friends but I was okay with that. I drew a lot.

On weekends I'd stay home and watch cartoons or worked -the best job ever- at the comic book store.

But the key word in all this is 'was'. That little verb that puts all this in the past. I haven't yet decided if that's good ... or bad.

See, all this changed on what started out to be a very normal day, of a very normal week, of a very normal life.

Like any other day, Mom woke me up. I got dressed in a black band tee and black jeans. Yadda yadda yadda... and I went school.

I was putting my algebra book in my locker when I sow them.

She was the girl with hair so black it didn't shine with writing in her arms, and he... he was the kid she was with.
