Free Spirited

Unbound

Her short roots were firmly planted into the dense earth
Innocently, yet boldly. Her sun kissed skin absorbs the ominous rays
And her tangled mane-beckoned me like entrancing, plucked petals.
Some days, I wish I was that girl-So free, So utterly alive!

But alas she’s too far out of my reach,
And I’m spent on wasting away, my ticking morning light.

Oh, how your heart swells for being one with the daises.
My one, and only wild child-I will never feel your heart beat-beating for me.

But my heart-still takes painful leaps
and fixated on making wild beats for that flower child.
Natures one, and only.
