Sins and Infatuation

Prologue

“He took my baby,” her voice stuttered as the police man stared down at her. He pretended to write notes as the thoughts of sending her to a mental facility slid inside his mind.

“Who is this man?” He could’ve cared less. The woman was always to be reported as some kind of loon in their town. Even her friends gossiped about how her mind would make monsters appear all around her.

“His eyes had dark holes of nothing, and his grin made a thousand children scream,” she clutched onto her knees as she sat down. The policeman tried his best to stifle his laughter and not try to offend her.

“Do you know him?” It was his last question, and then he was free to go back to him family. Instead of worrying about her child he wondered what would’ve been on the television, he was fascinated by the talking pictures.

“Everyone knows him,” she hissed. Her sour voice snapped him back to pay attention to the crazy lady. “His name is Lord Death.”
