Sequel: Say Something
Status: New and Active!!!!

Sweet Home Arizona.

Fifteen.

Three days. Three days until I would be getting married. I couldn't believe that it was coming up so soon. I couldn't believe after all that has happened, Luke was still by my side. I couldn't believe I tore myself away from John. The weeks leading up to now have been filled with nothing but thoughts of John. Everytime I closed my eyes at night I saw him. When I was getting dragged around for wedding planning, I would think of him. Even when I would kiss or have sex with Luke, there he would be. It was like I couldn't get the boy out of my mind. I kept trying to convince myself that I was doing the right thing by marrying Luke. He was always going to be around and not in some other state or country when I needed him. Even though o had a very good job, Luke could provide more for me than John ever could. I'm not saying that The Maine aren't a successful band or anything like that, but John always dug himself a hole with the money he earned. It would be spent on useless things instead of things we really needed. And if we ever had kids, Luke would be a hands-on father. He would be there when they woke up and when they went to sleep. That was the biggest problem John and I had when we were married. I wanted Paisley to know her father and see him ever day but I didn't get that wish.
"Babe, I have to go pick up my boys from the airport. I should be back in like 2 hours. Do you want me to get anything while I'm out?" I simply shook my head and smiled.
"Okay, well if you need anything just call me."
"Okay." He placed a kiss on my forehead and walked out the door.
"Oh Mason, what are you getting yourself into?"
I picked up my crutches and slowly made my way into the bedroom. I picked up my phone and dialled the familiar number. It rang only once before he picked it up.
"Mason what's wrong?" I couldn't help but laugh at his panicked voice.
"Garrett I'm fine. I uh, I just wanted someone to talk too."
"Mason you don't sound fine."I rolled my eyes because I knew he was right.
I wanted to marry Luke so much and I was so ready from Saturday to come, but my mind was hooked on someone else. “I’m fine Garrett; I promise. So what are you up too?”
“Well i’m waiting at the airport for my flight to come see the beautiful bride.”
“Are you the only one coming?”
“Of course not silly. The rest of the guys are coming.”
“Where’s John?”
“He’s uh, he went to um. He went LA to help some band out with lyrics.”
“Are you lying to be Nickelsen?”
“Would I ever lie to you King?”
“You better not.” He let out a laugh. I could hear the airport people announcing that a flight was now boarding in the background.
“Well that’s my call chickadee. I’ll try to text you or something while i’m on the plane.”
“Okay. Well have a safe trip. Tell the guys that I said hi and I can’t wait till you all get here.”
“We can’t wait either Mace. I love you bud.”
“I love you too; bye.”
“Bye.”
I placed my phone back on the table and laid back on the bed. Garrett’s answer about where John was kept replaying in my head. Why would he go all the way to Los Angeles to help some band with lyrics? Whenever John helped people with lyrics, he would take them someplace in the woods, not to some huge city. Unless John told Garrett to tell me that so I wouldn’t think he was going to pull something at the wedding. I swear if that boy shows up Saturday, I will have a meltdown for sure!
“Mason don’t get all frustrated about something stupid. John wouldn’t have the balls to pull something like that. Would he?” Oh great, I was talking to myself again.
I looked at the clock and saw that it was only 2 in the afternoon. I really needed a nap and know was the perfect time to do so!

John’s POV
I watched as Garrett talked to Mason on the phone. I couldn’t believe I had made Garrett tell her a lie but that was the only way it would work. I didn’t want her to know or even think that I would be going all the way to New York just to stop her from marrying Luke. I mean that’s exactly what I wanted but I knew how Mason’s mind worked. If she knew that I was on my way, she would make sure to marry him and get the hell out of New York before my ass got there. I knew that when she did finally figure out that I was there, she was going to be so pissed off. But that was a risk I was willing to take.
“Okay, bye Mason.” Garrett hung up his phone and looked over at me. “I can’t believe you just made me lie to my best friend. She’s going to kill me when she finds out that you came with us.” I rolled my eyes, “dude she will not find out. And if she does, i’ll tell her that I hopped on a plane in LA and you guys had no idea about it.”
“Whatever John. You better know what the fuck you're gonna do when you get there. I don’t want to see you running around like a chicken with his head cut off on Saturday.”
“Don’t worry Garrett, I have it all under control.” I picked up my backpack and started making my way to the gate. I handed the lady my ticket and made my way through the tunnel. The only thing that was going through my mind was Mason. The last time I had seen her, we got into a fight and I thought it was officially the end. Even in the beginning, I didn’t want to end things with her. It was all my fault what had happened between us when Paisley died. I wasn’t the husband that I was supposed to be and I knew I should have tried harder. But I literally thought that she would actually stay and stick around. Mason was never the type to stick around when she knew things were going wrong. She wasn’t like the other girls that I had been with. The other would stay no matter what just because I was John O’Callaghan from The Maine. If I beat the shit out of them and all this other awful stuff, these girls would still be by my side. Mason on the other hand would have left as soon as my hand went up. She may be a innocent looking girl but she could beat the hell out of you if she needed too.
“Passengers this is your captain speaking. We should arrive at destination of New York city in 9 hours.”
I had 9 hours to figure out what I was officially going to do to get my girl back!
