Sweet Home Arizona.

Six

I woke up the nest morning or what ever time it was cuddled into John’s bare chest. Memories of last night started flooding my thoughts, I couldn’t help but smile about them. Deep down inside I felt bad about what I had done, but right this second I loved that I was with John. I placed my lips on his chest and started my way up to his neck.
“Aren’t you tired?” John’s arms wrapped tighter around my bare body and pulled me closer.
“No; are you?” I placed kisses along his jaw line.
“Having sex all night will make anyone tired Mace.” He placed his lips on my and got a good grip on my hips. I couldn’t help but let out a moan. I loved the way John’s lips and hands would roam all over my body. That was definitely something Luke could never do even if he tired.
“How about you and I stay in bed all day and make love like old times.” I tilted my head to the side so John’s lips could capture more of my neck.
“That sounds absolutely perfect.” We dipped down deeper into the sheets and started our heated make out session. I couldn’t help but moan louder with each kiss or caress. I flipped us over so I was on top. John leaned up from the bed and wrapped his arms around my back. I could feel the covers were barely covering my backside but it was just John and I. His lips continued to work their magic on my upper body. I tilted my head over to the side and saw Halvo and Rex standing by the door. They both had the biggest smiles on their face. I couldn’t help but scream, which caught John’s attention. I flipped off of John and covered myself back up.
“Wow Mason I always dreamed of seeing you naked, but not with John in the picture.” I looked over at Halvo and rolled my eyes.
“How the fuck did you guys get in here?” Rex held up a key and smiled.
“We thought you were still asleep but apparently not. I thought Mason was getting married?”
“Rex, Halvo, get the fuck out of here.” John took the pillow from under my head and threw it in their direction.
They slowly shut the door; snickering like little school girls.
“I’m so sorry about that babe.” I looked at John and just laughed. “What’s so funny?”
“You let it get to you so bad, plus it’s not like the first time they have ever done this.” I unwrapped the covers from my body and started gathering my clothes.
“Mason, where the hell are you going?” I slip on my panties and placed by bra on.
“I have to go home. My parents are probably sick with worry right now.” I picked up my phone and saw 20 missed class and 13 text messages. Mom, mom, Taylor, mom, Luke, Luke, Luke. My mom and Luke must have been really worried about me; oh well.
“Please don’t leave Mace.” John wrapped his arms around my waist.
“John I have too. I might be back later.”
“What do you mean you might be coming back later?” I turned around and looked at him.
“It means what it means. I might come back or I might not. It all just depends.”
“Depends on what Mason?” His arms dropped back to his side.
“Why are you acting like this John. You know what I mean, so why question it?” He rolled his eyes and lied back down on the bed.
“I just thought we were okay again but I guess not. I guess this was just a “I need a good fuck and I know John will do it“, kind of situation.” I couldn’t believe he had just said that.
“How dare you John. I actually enjoyed myself last night and part of today. Luke can fuck me whenever I want and trust me it’s good, but no one can make love like you can. You’re so sensual and loving and slow and so many other things. I didn’t just come to your show last night just so I can have sex with you, okay. I came because I missed seeing you guys in concert and how you react to the crowd. I missed seeing the joy that your fans bring to you. I missed hearing you sing all those songs about me. And most of all, I missed you with every bone in my body. Now since you think I just came here for a good fuck, I regret even going last night. I regret kissing you. I regret touching you. And I regret saying I love you.” Tears were just pouring down my face as John just looked down at the comforter. “I want the divorce papers signed by tonight or I’m taking your ass to court.” I walked out of his room and down the stairs. Rex and Halvo were nowhere to be seen, so that was good. I slammed the front door closed and started making my way back to my parents house. I probably looked like a hooker to the people passing me. Luckily John’s house wasn’t that fare away from mine.
RING RING… RING RING… RIN-
“Hello.” I didn’t even bother looking at the caller I.D.
“Hi baby.” Oh God it was Luke. “How are you enjoying Arizona?”
“Hey Luke, uh I’m enjoying as much I can. I miss you so much though.”
“I miss you too doll. I can’t wait until you come back to the city.” I finally reached my house and took a seat on the porch.
“Me either Luke. Hey can I call you back later, I have to shower and stuff.”
“Oh yeah sure babe. I love you.” I felt tears spring to my eyes when I heard him say those words.
“I uh love y-you too. Bye.” I hung up from the call and placed my phone next to me. I couldn’t believe I had just cheated on my fiancé with my soon to be ex-husband. It was like John had this hold on me and I can’t fight off his charm.
“I need to get out of Arizona.” Oh great I was talking to my self now, real healthy Mason.
I got off my butt and walked into the house.
“Taylor are you here?” I laid my bag down and walked into the kitchen. “Guess I’m the only one here.” I grabbed a soda out of the refrigerator and gulped it down. I looked up at the clock and saw that it was almost noon. I really needed to shower and get the smell and touch of John off of me.

“So are you going out tonight?”
“I don’t really want to but I have to get the papers from John.” My mom nodded her head and continued working on her presentation. “Well have fun and try not to get into any trouble.”
“If I get into trouble it will be for killing John. Love ya mom.”
“Love you too Mace.” I walked out of the house and back to my car. I was going to make sure he signed those papers no matter what. I was willing to do anything to get those papers signed, well almost anything.
After 20 minutes of driving and trying to park, I finally arrived at the bar. Music was blaring out of the whole place, reminding me of the good times that I spent here.
I walked into the building as was instantly hit with the smell of smoke and beer. No wonder why John was so fond of this place. I was in serious need of a drink myself, anything involving John made me drink.
“What can I get you?”
“I need a Vodka Tonic.”
“So I see you finally put some clothes on.” I turned around and found myself face to face with Rex.
“Nice to see you too Rex.” I paid the bartender and took a sip of my beverage.
“So you and John had quit the homecoming uh?”
“What happened between John and I was a mistake and will never happen again. I’m happily engaged to the greatest guy on this planet and that’s it.”
“You didn’t say that you loved him though.” I looked up at him and rolled my eyes.
“I love Luke with all my heart and soul. Now where’s John at?” He pointed towards the pool table.
“I better be invited to your damn wedding.” I gave him a side hug.
“Do you really think I wouldn’t invite you? Now I have to go get things settled so I can get married.” I walked away from Rex and made my way over to John. He was having some conversation with a little brunette girl, probably trying to get her to go back home with him.
“Where’s the papers at John?” His conversation stopped as he turned to look at me.
“”John who’s this?” I could tell the girl was pretty upset with me at that moment.
“Oh he didn’t talk about me? Well I’m Mason, John’s soon to be ex wife. What’s you name?”
“Kendra. John never mentioned he was married.” She looked up at him and shot him the death glare.
“Mason can we do this somewhere else please?” I shook my head and leaned up against the table.
“No John, I’m tired of waiting. Now where are they?”
“Kendra can you go get us something to drink?” She looked at him and then at me.
“Whatever.” She got up from her seat and pushed by us.
“Now since your little girlfriend is gone you can give me the papers.” John walked back over to the pool table and started playing with Garrett. “John why are you making things so difficult. Do you want me to make you look like a fool in front of all of these people. Do you want your friends to see that John?”
“Now Mason, we’re your friends too. You may have moved away but that doesn’t mean you can be a bitch to us.”
“Garrett’s right Mason.” I looked over at Kennedy and shook my head.
“I’m not being a bitch to you guys, I was just trying to make a point.”
I felt like I was getting backed up against a wall and everyone was on John’s side. He was the reason I was being such a bitch. This was going to be a very long night!
