Standing in the Rain

Tallie went and stayed with her grandparents the summer before 4th grade. When she came back her loving devoted parents were different. They drank all the time and seemed to hate her. It didn't take long for the abuse to start, or for Tallie to figure out how to avoid it. She never knew what happened. She didn't dare ask. She just accepted that that was how her life was now.

Until Ryan, Tallies best friend (whom she's secretly in love with), went and opened his mouth. Now she's living with him, and life for once, seems to be a lot easier. Little does she know everything is about to get more complicated then she could ever imagine.
