Exhausted

1.

I ran, quck as I could. The sand falling between my toes and the wind pushing my hair back. I wanted to stop running I was tired and I couldn't seem to catch my breath, it was burning my throat. My heart was pounding against my chest I could hear it my skull. My head was throbbing. I hate running. I hate all of the above.

But once I stopped, my mind was clear my thoughts...vanished. Every little shelve in my mind was emptied, they all vaporized and I thought of nothing. I only heard the throbbing, felt the pounding and tried to catch my breath. My lungs burned. I layed down on the beach staring up at the sky, it was slowly changing from a pink orange to a dark blue. Watching the sunset is different when you aren't staring directly at the sun. Some think the sun is the main attraction when there is so much going on around it, little shimmers of the stars being unveiled and the light of the moon slowly coming into play.

I lay there for god knows how long staring at the sky and forgetting everything else.
