Retarded In Love

Chapter 34

A few minutes later, I heard people bustling about on the other side of the ramp. I wiped my eyes and looked down at the tear stained dirt and sighed. I pressed the left side of my body hard against the ramp to help myself up. I walked to the other side of the ramp, and saw people dumping something on the tarp covering it. I spotted Ryan sitting on a cooler not to far away, and walked over to him.

He looked up at me and smirked. "Calm?"

I couldn't help but smile at him. "Yes. I'm sorry, Ryan."

"It was my fault," he laughed. "I should know better than to bother you when you're angry." He stood up and pulled me into a half hug, being careful not to touch my bruised shoulder.

"Hey, Ellie! A little help?" I looked over to see Bam and Trip Taylor (a producer) dumping more liquid onto the tarp. As soon as I climbed onto the platform, I started sliding about and slid right into Trip, causing him to fall off the platform into the river. I laughed as Bam lost his balance after that, and slid off after Trip. I picked up the bucket they were dumping and tipped it, dumping out the remaining liquid before I felt someone grab my wrists. I turned to see Johnny in a wet suit, trying to tackle me yet keep his balance.

We pushed each other around, laughing hysterically as other joined in trying to knock us down. It turned into an all out war, partners trying to keep each other up. Johnny and I, Ehren and Dave, Bam and Dunn, other crew members. I didn't know where Steve-O and Chris were. It had just came to my attention when Dunn went crashing down, dragging me along with him, me taking Johnny down with me. It started a whole domino effect, until everyone was lying on the slippery ramp, covered in goo.

"Ellie, you made us lose!" Johnny laughed loudly. I love his laugh, it's so loud and unique. I also love his accent, it's awesome.

"I'm sorry!" I laughed back, trying to untangle myself from Dave and Ehren.

"Ell, you landed on my head..." Bam whined, sitting up slowly.

"It's Dunn's fault!" Dave exclaimed.

"Yeah, it's all Dunn's fault..." Ehren mumbled from under Dave.

We all laughed and tried our hardest to untangle ourselves and get off the platform safely. It was a long and painful process, but it was fun to say the least. Once I was off, I spotted Chris standing near by, laughing. He wasn't wearing clothes. Just a mess of electrical tape and things in front of his... garbage. I felt myself go red as I walked away, and I sat on a nearby cooler and watched as people slid down the ramp into the river for a while.

When we got back to the hotel, it had just started to get dark. Dunn and I were walking back to our rooms to get ready to go to a nearby club. It was for ages 18 and up, so I could go along this time, I just couldn't drink. Not like I wanted to. Every time I drank, something dumb happened. Although, Dico was my first drunken hookup. I had never cheated on David, ever.

I walked into my room, looking for anything to distract me. I was mad. Not just about David, but Dico as well. I was mad at the fact I was surrounded by guys; attractive guys. It was no secret, they were all hot. And I was, too. Not to toot my own horn, but since I had gotten there almost all of them had hit on me. It would be dumb for me to try to get with them, though, because I knew it would never work out.

I grabbed a black mini skirt and crimson halter top, fixed my hair and make up, and slipped on my one and only pair of black heels and stepped out the door. I walked to room 186 where I was told to go and knocked lightly, waiting for someone to answer the door. It was Johnny. He stood there motionless, silent, for a while before smirking and letting me in.

"You're the first one," he said, running a towel across his bare chest. His hair was wet, he must had just gotten out of the shower.

I nodded and sat down on his bed as he walked over to a suitcase and rummaged through it. He picked up two shirts, and I watched as he studied both of them.

He turned to me and held them both up. "Which one?"

I watched as he alternated holding them in front of his body, smirking slightly, humming a little tune. I pointed at the black, white, and gray flannel button up, and he smiled a 'thank you' and started to put it on.

A little while later, everyone was packed into the room. By everyone, I mean all of the cast and most of the crew. We all waited for the vans, then piled in. I had no idea what to expect, but as we were on the way to the club, Johnny leaned over to me.

"If you get any unwanted attention tonight, don't hesitate to get me if Dunn and Bam aren't around. No one fucks with my partner." He added in a large toothy grin and his laugh I loved, and I couldn't help but smile.
