Adam's Suspension

I'm suspended, strung out above reality, held up by the hands of love, compassion and serenity. There’s no blots of the hatred of the world, no watermarks of how much evil there is where the feelings of goodness don’t linger. No one but you could find reason to cut out all the ropes and let me fall.

This, this sheltered life was destroying me, even though I didn't know it- like a caged tiger expected to survive outside of captivity that wasn't exposed to bitterness. "I couldn't bare to see you die," you whispered. "I had to cut the rope before the world slit your throat."

"In a world of evil, you just need to remember the good. It watches like a scouting eagle, who, at the same time, sinks talons into prey mercilessly to survive. Things aren't so black and white; more red and complex. Watch your back but remember to look ahead, Adam."

I feel so free, so weightless.
