My Tattooed Angel

Lost and Found

Chance and I slowly make our way down the hill. It's daylight now, therefore I can see a lot better then last night.

"Come on." I say giving Chance a gentle kick.

Chance goes into an easy canter. I look for any possible sign of Brian. It'd be a good idea to find Willie too, but my main priority is Brian.

"Brian!" I yell.

I ease Chance into a gallop. I think I head to were Willie galloped off to. I look around. Haven't checked around here yet. In the distance, I see a horse. It's Willie. We go over to him. Brian's not with him. Chance would have stayed with him.

"Where's Brian?" I ask to myself.

He can't be too far from here. I can only think of the worse. The truth is that I better prepare for the worse. There's only one possibility that Brian is OK, there are about twenty others for the worse. I tie a rope around Willie's neck and then Chances.

"Brian!" I yell
"Brian, where are you?" I yell.

I listen of a reply. Nothing. I make Chance walk on, Willie follows close by. I would do about anything to find him right now. After a couple hours of searching I take a break. I just sit on the back of Chance. Maybe I'll try one more time.

"BRIAN!" I yell at the top of my lungs.

No response. I let out a deep sigh and keep looking until the night falls upon me. I can't see, but Chance will let me know somehow if he senses him. I'm not stopping until I find him. Suddenly Chance stops

"What is it boy?" I ask.

I look around.

"Brian..." I say dismounting Chance and running to Brian who's leaned against a rock.

"Katie?" Brian asks lifting his head from his knees.

I sit down next to him and throw my arms around him. I pick up my head and kiss him, then I hold him tighter.

"Your OK." I say.

"Yeah. A couple cuts and scrapes, but I'm OK." Brian says.

Brian looks down at my side and then returns to my glance. My shirt has a nasty blood stain and cuts in it.

"What happened?" Brian asks.

"I got attacked by a mountain lion. Chance saved me." I say.

"Well, are you alright?" Brian asks.

"Now I am." I say leaning against him.

"Me too." Brian says kissing my cheek
