Another Night and I'll See You

Just one more night

"Hey, Miss Murder, can I? Hey Miss Murder..."

Carol picked up her phone.

"Yeah?"

"Hey, Frank here."

"Oooh, Frankie."

"Don't call me like that, or I'll call you Car."

"I'm not a car, dumbass, that's not a thing to be, it's a thing to drive!"

"I know. Anyway, that's now why I'm calling. I'm calling just to talk to you about tomorrow."

"Oh, yeah. Tomorrow I come to New Jersey. Can't wait."

"Me neither. It's just... Another night and I'll see you!"

"Yeah!"

"So... your train should arrive at around 5 pm. I'll be waiting at the station. You and your friend Sarah will be staying at my apartment. I've just furnished an extra room for you two."

"Ooooh! You wouldn't have to do that! Besides, we're just staying a month."

"I know. But I want you to come as often as possible. You're my sister - I have the right to spend my time with you."

"Yeah."

"OK, phone me tomorrow when you're on train, will you?"

"Sure."

"OK. Bye."

"Bye."

Carol put down the phone. She smiled and lay on her bed, with her eyes wide open looking at the ceiling. She couldn't wait for tomorrow to come.
