Let's Do What Lovers Do

Sweet Encounters

Natalia Pereira was in the front of the Zumba class watching the instructor as she followed her with the dance moves. Sweat was pouring down her face as she followed the rest of the dance steps. It was almost the end of the class and she was thankful for it since she had come here straight from class. Her classes ended at four most of the days and theZumba class started at 4:30. It went from 4:30 to 5:30, so Natalia would haul her booty to class and dance the hour away. It helps her relieve her stress that she had.. now it was only because her left hand wouldn't stop shaking. The other day it was shaking so bad that she had to use her right hand for most things, and she wrote with her left hand. It was kind of difficult for her when her left arm was shaking so violently. Ever since the incident at her cousin's house she took her medicine religiously every day after that, Piqué started calling her to make sure that she was taking it since he didn't want her to get worse, not that she was. She was only a stage one right now, and hopefully she would stay there.

There were five minutes left in the class and they were doing the cool down, Natalia happened to look to the left and saw that Piqué was standing outside the door watching her. She smiled at him and was very happy to see her cousin all of the sudden. He was wearing sunglasses inside a gym, but she couldn't blame him, if he took those glasses off everybody and their mom would surround him like a horde of zombies. Natalia giggled to herself as the last final breath of the class came. She said goodbye to her peers and picked up her bag while going towards the door and checked her phone. Her mom had called and left a voicemail.

"Hola! What a surprise!" Natalia said as she flashed another pearly smile at Piqué. Her mother wanted to make sure that she brought milk and eggs because they had ran out. Typical mother, "Well I wanted to see you. Practice ran early today so I thought I'd take the time to hang out with you. Shakira is somewhere around the world doing a concert for who Knows what. I tell you, it seems now that we are together things are so interesting. Most of the time we are together, but lately she's had to go do concerts and things." Piqué explained to Natalia.
Natalia smiled and reminisced when she met Shakira for the first time at his birthday party.

A month had gone by and Piqué and Shakira looked like they were more in love each day. The other kind of love that Natalia saw like that was from her parents.
Natalia exclaimed, "she was really nice from what I could tell. Besides, if she's mean then she'll have to answer to me. Nobody messes with Natalia Jimena Pereira! I can't believe it's been a month since I last saw you. School is going by so fast, I have two exams on Thursday and a speech to do on Friday. Again." Natalia was an International Communications major which was basically foreign affairs without the politics. At least that's what the classes made it sound and seem like. She really loved talking in front of people and everything, but lately it has been every week that she has had to come up of something to talk about.
"You know, if you really wanted to you could come work at Barcelona Football Club and take care of all the interviews and stuff, it would be nice wouldn't you think?" Piqué said as he saw that Natalia's hand was still shaking.
She noticed that he was staring at her hand and quickly put it in her pocket, "It's been doing that a lot lately.. my medicine is almost out so I need to go buy some more." She explained to her cousin as they exited the gym,
"You want to come over for dinner? Mama and Papa would love to have you over. They miss you," Natalia said as she looked in her purse to get her keys out.
"Sure. It would be nice to see the family," He replied and went over to his own car.

Dinner went great as the family caught up with each other talking about Piqué's great success in the club. Natalia had to excuse herself to go to the bathroom, it was time for her medication once again. She went to get her purse to get it out seeing as sometimes she had to stay late because she was working on something for school. When she got the little bottle that had her sweet release to making her feel better, she opened it up with her right hand and took her two pills that she needed. She had at least five more days of pills and then she needed to get a refill. Once she finished taking what she needed to take she went out into the dining room and saw that everybody was still gathered there. It was just her, her parents and Gerard, but they loved being with each other. They were a small family since her mom did not have any sisters, but her father was Gerard's father's dad, so it made up for it.
"Ah, querida, Gerardo has to leave, oh it was so good to see you mijo!" Her mama gave Gerard a hug as everybody got up to say their goodbyes. Natalia was leading Gerard out of her house but before they both said goodbye,
"Come to a football game?" Gerard asked as he pulled out a ticket to this weekend's game, Real Zaragoza versus Barcelona.
Natalia hesitated, "Is this the only reason why you came? To persuade me to go to a football game so I can watch how good you are?"
Gerard could not help but smile sheepishly as he nodded, but he added, "Shakira will be there though.. and Cesc."
"Cesc?"
"Yeah. The guy that you met at my party before you rushed out of there remember?"
"Oh yeah. Him. Embarrassing moment that happened with him..I guess I can go. I'll probably make a fool of myself again though, be warned." Natalia laughed as she remembered.
"You can not possibly make a fool of yourself, you are too you to do that. Even if you do, people don't really mind it. It's like you're too graceful for that." He explained.
Natalia took the ticket from his hand as she hugged him goodbye. Gerard Piqué was really something. Wait. Shakira was going to be there!

As Saturday came, Natalia all of the sudden got very nervous, her hand was not shaking today, that must be a good sign right? She looked at herself in the mirror as she put on a pair of jeans and a sweater since it was a tad bit chilly outside. Natalia was not one to wear heels, but since her height was not that tall she decided to put some on, and since Cesc was going to be there.. might as well impress him? His eyes kept haunting her mind as she remembered the look that he had given her when her things had fallen. It was a look of such intensity, as if he was silently asking her something. Natalia shook her head as she put on the only pair of heels that she had, which were red pumps. Her sweater was a plain white and her jeans were a dark blue and they stuck to her body like a glove. Her hair was in a messy ponytail and she put on chapstick before she left her house. Her parents wished her good luck since Natalia didn't even know anything about football, and here she was going to a football game to go watch her cousin play. It started at two, but better leave now when it's noon so the traffic for when she needs to get into the stadium it wouldn't be a frenzy. It took Natalia about an hour to get to the stadium, but she made it. Once she parked her car, she noticed that her left hand was slightly shaking,
'No!' Natalia silently pleaded to the heavens that it wouldn't get bad. When she got out of the car, she noticed that most people were wearing Barcelona jerseys. A bunch wore Gerard's and that made her laugh since she did not own anything that was of Barcelona.

When she made her way into the stadium and gave the ticket to the person that was checking them, he told her how to get to the box seats that apparently Piqué had given her. Oh he would that Gerard. Natalia made her way, and then noticed a dirty blond woman making her way to some seats as well, and she guessed who that must have been, Shakira. Her mouth curved upwards into a smile as she walked a little bit faster to catch up to her since she didn't want to cause attention to her or Shakira. Once she noticed that Shakira sat down, Natalia made her way to sit next to her since it seemed like that was indeed her seat. At least she knew someone here and that made her feel a whole lot better.
"Ah! Natalia! Gerard said that you were coming to watch the game. I'm excited to hang out with you. He always speaks highly of his cousin, well you're more like his sister, but whatever."Natalia blushed as the international pop star began to talk to her like they were old friends. It was trues, Shakira was no WAG if you could even call her that, she has he own little section in this crazy mixed up footballer's world. Natalia and Shakira began to talk about things that they liked, things that they didn't like, the whole she-bang.

Francesc Fabregas noticed the girl sitting next to Shakira as he walked up to the seats. It was the girl that Gerard had introduced him to. He never knew that Piqué had a cousin, much more a cousin like her. He had mentioned something about a Natalia, but he never knew that she was part of his family. As he approached her, he knew that he was sitting next to her throughout the game because Shakira was at her other side. He sat down and noticed that Natalia looked over at him and flashed him a smile. Could she really be real? Her smile was soft yet alluring, and her piercing blue eyes had no comparison to anybodys. Natalia and Shakira stopped talking once the teams went out onto the pitch since Shakira engrossed her full attention on her boyfriend, Gerard Piqué. She noticed that age in this scenario did not matter, and they both looked so happy that Natalia was happy as well.
"Hi," Natalia said shyly as she gave a small wave even though he was two feet away from her. "Hello." He said towards her as he flashed her his famous Francesc smile.
"Listen. About the other night at the party-" she began, but was cut off.
"Don't worry about it. I know that if that had happened to me, I would have done exactly the same thing."
"Well okay, Francesc."
"Please, call me Cesc."
Natalia smiled, "Okay, Cesc. I need you to help me out here because I know nothing about football.." Yes, she used that as an excuse to keep talking to him, but what else could she do? She was going to sit next to him for the next hour and a half, so they might as well be talking about something right?

Cesc had something in his mind that he couldn't put off and that was when he picked up her medicine bottle for her. It could have been for anything, but he wanted to know what was wrong, maybe she stopped taking it because she was healthy. That's what he hoped for, there was no way a woman like her needed to take something.. she couldn't be sick. He refused to believe something like that. As he kept explaining Natalia the game, she noticed that Shakira was watching them out of the corner of her eye, but her main focus was on Barcelona's number three. Natalia nodded when he explained something to her as they watched the game together. She kept looking over at him when he was explaining a play or the basic rules, but her stare always got to him. It was a soft angelic look that caused him to get tingles down his spine, and maybe this was right. Carla had moved on, maybe it was his time to move on too. It had pained him when he had broken up with Carla, but they were becoming too distant for their own good, so they had to break it off. Now God was sending him this girl that he barely knew anything about that, but he didn't mind. She was beyond comparison and he wanted to get to know her. Natalia was getting butterflies in her stomach as she continued to speak to Cesc, the way that he looked at her was the way that she wanted to be looked at her whole life. He looked at her like she was the only girl on the entire planet.. at least that's what she felt like. She noticed her hand was still shaking so she held it with her right hand on her lap.
"There are so many rules to this game, no wonder everybody loves it. That didn't make sense. Whatever. Do you play on a football team Cesc?" Natalia asked him as the whistle blew for half time.
Shakira had excused herself to go to the bathroom. She looked at Natalia and Cesc and thought she did a job well done since she was the one that told Gerard to introduce them, Cesc just looked so solemn that she couldn't stand it anymore.

"Yes, it's called Arsenal and it's from London." Cesc explained as he noticed that Natalia covered her left hand with her right and she fumbled with them.
"Oh how wonderful! Do you like England?" She inquired as she smiled.
"Yes, but I miss home so much, I come here every chance I get." Cesc told her.
He couldn't get over the fact of her beauty. Her porcelain skin and her full lips that almost looked like a pout, he was guessing because it was cold.
"Oh I see. How nice of you to come watch my cousin play," Natalia said as she put on chapstick to keep her lips moisturized.
"Oh Piqué? Yeah. We go to each other's games when we can, the life of a footballer can be a tad bit complicated, but he's my brother, so might as well come support him." He said.

Natalia began to think that maybe, just maybe, this wasn't going to be so bad after all.
