Shiver

I tried to get up from the table. But he held me down. My father held me down by just my wrist.

I could see the pain in his eyes when he grabbed it. But he shouldn’t feel bad for me.

Finally. For once. I was happy.

But for his sake. I took a single bite, giving a smile.
