Stuck in the Middle

Jeremy used to have the perfect life, but after the death of his beloved girlfriend, he feels as if his life will never be the same. Usually energetic and happy, his family watches him fade into someone else. He's no longer living, he's just going through the motions. He's torn between the past and the present, wanting to move on, but not wanting to let go. 

Elaine is Jeremy's best friend. Shes been there for him through everything, literally. From the time they were in diapers until now. She watches from a distance as her best friend slowly closes everyone out. She tries to be there for him the best she can, but really she's breaking down herself. No one knows what's happening in her own life. Can she hold herself together as she tries to keep her best friend from crumbling to pieces?

Jeremy and Elaine are on a journey. A journey on what it means exactly to leave the past behind you and to learn to live again.
