Reaching In
This is, I suppose, a fan-fic of a fan-fic. This fan-fic, in fact, which is in the Harry Potter fandom and was not written by me but I strongly recommend it to anyone.
It’s an alternative version of the ending scene in Chapter Thirty-Five and I wrote it for myself more than anything, mainly because I kept dreaming about this scene going in this direction. Some parts of this therefore correlate with the original work. I won’t give massive amounts away for anyone who wants to read the real thing, although to read this one-shot you should know that Ginny has natural powers of Healing which automatically draw her to damaged people with painful pasts, and Harry knows that in her life he is possibly the strongest candidate in that category.
