Pretend.

Lets pretend for just one second that you actually like me, that just maybe you might care for me, or how about the words that I have been dying for you to say. Lets fake that we are on a date, or how about that you put your arm around me and kiss me. Lets sit on the grass, while you brush back my hair and look into my eyes. Watch me as I smile, watch me as I try to not cry. I will sit there looking into your eyes, as you watch me get lost in them. Hold me in your arms, let my head lay gently on your shoulder. The feelings inside me start to warm up, as you smile my heart fills with love. My mind wonders with many different thoughts, time passes and each thought is left unanswered. Take me by the hand and show me the truth, take me that special place where we can be alone. Take me to that place where no one can hear us, hold me close and gently kiss me. Let the birds sing, let the sun shine, let the flowers bring color, and let us lay together on the grass. Once I close my eyes, I will remember that this is just pretend.
