Uncertainties.
02.
And that day I passed by our spot in the woods, like I always did at noon. Usually, I saw him sitting on the ground, a book settled between his hands.
But today, he wasn’t there.
I waited and waited. After that day, I continued to do so. I looked through and through the woods, but he was nowhere to be found. Slowly, I forgot about him. It began with little things, like his favorite color or his middle name. A few months later, I forgot all about him. Everything.
He became a stranger and that scared me.
To this day I still wonder, was he even really real?
