Save your heart.

There you were, young and free; reaching out like you needed me.

"We have to go to Disneyworld some day. Like, on holiday. I just love it there." I suggested. I really loved Disneyworld. And I really wanted to go on vacation with John. It'd be our first trip together.

"Deal. We can book our tickets and stuff when I come back home from tour."

"Really?" I was getting excited. And all my plans wouldn't happen if I got too excited. I just knew it.

"Yeah."

"Okay. Oh my God. I'm just not gonna think about it until you come back. Too exciting." I just did some weird movements with my body and hugged John. He laughed and we walked out the door. He had come to pick me up because we were going to the beach, to San Diego. It was like a 5 hour ride, but we were going to stay there for a couple of days, so it'd be okay. Plus, I hadn't been to the beach in a long long time; it was about time I got tan.

The ride to San Diego was not as boring as I'd imagined. I slept for about half of the trip; I usually fell asleep during long rides. The other couple of hours consisted on us talking, me eating and me singing and dancing. I ate like 2 burgers and ton of chips. Bless my fast metabolism. We stopped so John could eat something before getting to San Diego, and I kept eating. I kept it settle and ate a soft shell taco, nothing more. But come on, it'd be awkward for John to eat something with me watching, wouldn't it? I just had to! Then he kept driving until we arrived to San Diego. We then found the hotel we were staying at, and unpacked our backpacks, 'cause that's the only thing we were carrying. Two backpacks. We were going to stay there for two days, it was not like we needed any more.

"Well, this looks nice." John said, laying on the bed.

"It does." I opened the window. "And we have a balcony!" Well, that surprised me.

"Not that we're gonna make much use of it anyway."

"Meh. Who knows."

It was almost midday, so we went and had lunch at the hotel restaurant, which was also surprisingly nice. The food was really good. Right after we had dessert, my brother called me.

"Hey Horsedog." He said.

"Hey, that's my pet's name, not my name!"

"I'm going to call you Horsedog and I don't care what you say."

"Fine." I found it really funny, anyway.

"Guess where I am?"

"I don't know, Fiji?"

"New York." There was a silence there. I knew where in NY he was, he didn't even have to tell me, it was obvious. I wondered if I'd ever have the courage to go back.

"Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, it actually is. I'm at home right now... and guess what, I just found another camera! It's a film camera, though."

"Develop it!" I was excited, yet nervous. I don't really know why the nervousness.

"I've already been to the photographer and they told me it'd be done for tomorrow."

"Alright, cool. I'm in San Diego right now, so I'll go around your house any day. Beware of me!" I laughed.

"Cool." I heard him smile. "There's a bunch of photo album here too, I'm taking some of them to Arizona, is that okay?"

"Yeah, I guess so... bring a couple more so I can grab some, too." I just felt happy and not so sad and nervous anymore. Pictures from my childhood. Great. Really great.

"Okay. See you around. Bye."

"Okay, love you. Bye."

I told John what my brother had just told me, we went back to our room, put on the bathing stuff and walked to the beach. I just cried a little, but they were happy tears, I guess. I just missed my parents; but I was at a really happy place. John had his arm around my shoulders during the whole way to the beach. When we arrived, we just stared a bit, looking at the marvelous waved and the sand and all the great things around. I hugged him sideways and rested my head on him. "I just wanna grow old with you." I told him, spontaneously.

Second part of the trip will be uploaded tomorrow! I've been uploading really frequently recently, so I think I'll spread the chapters out (is that right? i'm sorry if it makes no sense) and upload frequently, but not that frequently. I hope you like it anyway! Thanks for reading!
