If Only Those Fan-Girls Knew
You Had Me At Hello
When Alex looked at me, as cheesy as it sounded, my heart skipped a beat. The two of us couldn't keep our eyes off each other, for reasons I didn't exactly know. Well, of course I knew why I was checking him out shamelessly. He was the epitome of gorgeous, perfectly messed up hair, tight jeans, crooked smile... God.
He stared at me with gorgeous brown eyes. I could hear Alyshia, and the rest of All Time Low talking, but I couldn't focus on them. I looked away from Alex, his intense gaze making my stomach pleasantly turn.
Alyshia and I (As well as Zack, I guess) made the decision to split up, Zack and Alyshia cleaning the bathroom, and me, going with Alex, Rian and Jack.
We went backstage shortly after the group conversation. Jack was there, after apparently leaving the dressing room he had stomped off to after Alyshia insulted him. He had his guitar in his lap, and smiled at me as I entered with Alex and Rian.
"Hey, Jack." I said cheerfully.
"Dude, you got shut down so hard in there." Rian said, chuckling. Alex was a bit quiet, but he had a grin on his face, that made me blush.
"Whatever man." Jack said, frowning.
I sort of felt bad for him. I liked Jack. He was funny, and cute, and he seemed to be a hell of a lot of fun, but I had to admit what Alyshia said was funny.
I giggled, sitting down on one of the boxes, resting my chin in my hands.
"So, Katia..." Alex said, sitting down across from me, while Rian sat down beside Jack. "Where do you want to travel to?"
I smiled at him, and shrugged my shoulders. "I just want to go somewhere different. It'll be our last trip before college and what not. I just want it to be good."
Alex nodded, biting on his lip with his eyebrows raised. "I see."
"Yeah. You're so lucky, getting to travel all over and play music for people who adore you." I said, almost half by accident. I started blushing. Jack and Rian were observing our conversation, looking amused.
He chuckled, and nodded. "I know. It's amazing. I get to meet really great people." He said, looking down, then back up at me. "Like yourself."
My cheeks got pretty much ten times more red. "Thanks..." I mumbled.
"No problem." He said, just as quietly, inching his box a little closer to my box, an innocent look on his face.
"Okay, okay, you guys! Stop eye fucking each other!" Jack nearly screamed, pushing Alex's box away from mine with his foot. "There's children here!"
Rian gave Jack a look. "I'm not a children."
"Look, Jack, I know you haven't got laid in a while, but that doesn't mean you've converted back to childhood." Alex shot back, smirking. I couldn't help but giggle.
Jack pouted, grumbling something incoherent, and sticking his tongue out at Alex.
"I like your hair." Alex complimented when Jack's back was turned to us. "It's really neat."
"Thanks..." I said, grabbing a lock of my black and blonde hair and examining it. "I was thinking about dying it just a solid color, actually."
"Don't!" Alex said, laughing. "It's perfect now."
"Alex Gaskarth complimenting me? Hmm, must be dreaming." I teased. It really did feel like I was dreaming. I mean, it was All Time friggin Low. Alex Friggen Gaskarth, and here I was, just hanging out backstage with him. This job was so underrated. Who the hell wouldn't want to work here? You know, despite the washroom cleaning, it was so awesome.
"Definitely a dream." He teased right back, jamming his hands in his pockets. "I mean, this is like, all an illusion."
"I knew it."
At that moment, Alyshia and Zack came backstage. I saw her hand in his, and raised an eyebrow, looking at her. She giggled, and grinned.
"What's up, guys." Zack said, waving with his free hand.
Jack looked at the ground bitterly when he saw Alyshia. I shot him a smile and he rolled his eyes teasingly.
"How was the bathrooms?" Alex asked.
"Dirty."
"Sorry about that." Jack joked, and I crinkled up my nose. "C'mon, I was kidding."
"Jack, you're gross." Alex said, laughing.
"C'mon, guys!"
"I know you were joking Jack." I said, smiling at him. "I'm just fucking around with you."
"Better be. I'm watching you." He said, narrowing his eyes before turning away again.
"So, are you girls going to come to the concert?" Rian asked, tapping his hands on one of the amps. "You could get in early and be right in the front."
"Make sure to throw your bras on stage." Jack said, and I rolled my eyes teasingly at him. Alyshia and I exchanged looks.
"Well..." She said slowly. "Depends how much work we have to do before the concert. What else do we have to do, Katia?"
I thought for a moment, feeling Alex's gaze on me. "We have to vacuum the carpets, and sweep the concert area and what not." I said.
Alyshia frowned, and nodded, looking at Zack, who looked right back at her, with a cute look of admiration in his eyes. I smiled, turning my head to the ground.
"Well, how about you guys vacuum quickly. We could even help if you want." Alex offered, looking at the other guys, who slowly nodded in agreement. "Then, you could sweep up during our sound check, and be the first ones there, right up against the stage."
I grinned over at Alyshia who nodded enthusiastically.
"Great!" Alex said, grinning, looking at me. "Let's get started then!"
