Let me tell you what I once was. I was once a welcome tribe member of the Silurians. I was once a great fighter of my tribe. I was once the chief's daughter. I was once Ariana. And now,
you may wonder what I am. I am now a dog to the Roman Empire. I am now a dead member of my tribe, an outcast. I am now Mairi. And who was Ariana? Ariana was a free-spirited, light-hearted, and outgoing girl. Now, Mairi? Mairi is a bitter, sorrowful, and wary girl. But, which one am I? That, the future shall reveal in its own time. I was once just like Ariana; I was free of all the worries in the world. I knew what I wanted: to defeat the Roman Empire who'd invaded our land. I was a killer and I was good at it. But, now I am more like Mairi; a girl who was shown mercy and is now a servant to the Romans whenever I am needed. I don't know what I want: do I want to defeat the Romans or stay with Marcus? The future shall be a bumpy ride.
