Still Not Quite Enough

It was hot summer afternoon in Davenport, IA and the hottest band would be playing The Mark later that night and I couldn't go because I had to work at my moms restaurant. There was no way I was going because the restaurant also went outside and it had a river breeze. In just a few hours one of my favorite bands are playing just two minutes away from me, so my friend Maya texted me to rub it in my face,
"Hey, guess who I'm gunna see tonight!" Maya texted.
"Oh, I have no idea! who?" I sarcastically asked.
"This amazing band called I See Stars!"
"Oh just shut up! Hey I have to get back to work, bye."
"Alright talk to you later, bye."
I stood in the back and thought about how much fun I would have at the concert.
"Madison!" my mom yelled, "More people are here!"
"Coming!"
I worked as the hostess and I was the only one who knew the restaurant best besides my mom of course. I got to the podium and six guys came in with hoods on trying to hide there faces.
"Hello welcome to La Italiana Cucina, will there just be six of you?" I asked.
"Yes, just six please." The tall one whispered.
"Ok this way please....Your server will be Noel, have a nice lunch."
I went back to the podium and looked at the six boys I had just previously seated. I kept saying to myself "Why on earth do they look so familar?"

After I seated 4 more families. The six boys were sitting eating pie, the tall one caught my eye and winked and i blushed. I looked over and saw three girls looking at the the six hooded boys then look at each other and started giggling. The girls got up and walked over the boys and wanted pics and autographs. I just rolled my eyes and thought just another band. Then the hood slipped off the the head of one of the boys and I instantly recognized him. "Devin Oliver from I See Stars!" I yelled. Everybody stopped and looked at me and more girls ran to them. I also ran to them and made my past all the girls and got to the band and said
"Come with to the back!"
"but your the one who blew our cover." Jeff yelled.
"I know and im sorry! Now do you want to get away from these girls?"
"yes!" they said in unison.
We quickly linked arms and ran to the back somehow getting out the crowd. We ran out the back door and into the alley.
"Hi I'm Madison." I introduced myself.
"Hello I'm Devin, this is Brent, thi-" I cut him off.
"I know who you guys are, I'm a huge fan and your playing across the river tonight."
"Yeah! Hey you going to the show?" Devin asked.
It took me awhile to answer because i was lost in his beautiful brown eyes and lips.
"Um no, I have to work."
"Well maybe after you can hang with us?" he said.
"Yeah! I'd like that!" I exclaimed.
We exchanged phones so I could put my number in his and his in mine.
"Well we well see you later tonight." Devin while winking again.
"Looking forward to it!" I said blushing.
