Goodbye Forever

She kept her eyes closed long after the kiss had ended. The universe always had a way of bringing them back together. Her only hope was that if she kept her eyes closed long enough, he would return to her like always. A single tear slipped down her cheek when she heard his voice utter a final good-bye. This was really the end of them, the end of an era. But she kept her eyes closed, rejecting reality.
