An Unwanted Love

eight

When I arrived home I found Nathan, Dacen and Ashlee in what had become a hang out room for us. They all turned to look at me as I walked in, and I raised my eyebrow as if to say what?

“You smell like sex, and have a leaf in your hair.” Nate finally responded after a few seconds of silence. Whatever.

“Your point?”

“Well… We just didn’t know you were seeing anyone is all…” Ashlee started. Nathan closed his eyes as though in disbelief and Dacen instantly looked more aware.

“I’m not,” I responded as I ran my fingers through my hair, attempting to dislodge the leaf.

Ashlee’s eyes narrowed. When she spoke it was as though her words were daring me to answer. “Who did you have sex with, then, Rave?”

I sent her a look that blatantly questioned her intelligence. “Some guy,” my reply came in a tone that implied it should have been obvious. Which it was.

“Do you even know his name?” she interrogated.

“Uh… Something with an ‘L’. He has blue hair.” Finally the damn leaf fell free into my fingers.

“You mean Laker Johnson?” Dacen supplied.

“Uh. Yeah. That one.”

“Huh. He’s a good guy. Good looking, too.” Dacen commented, and Nathan was quick to agree. It seemed as though everyone already knew him. Ashlee was silently fuming, glaring at me. So, I decided to make it just that much worse.

“He is a great fuck. Tight ass. Easily submissive. Hot. Definitely grade A meat, if you know what I mean.” I elaborated, smirking in Ashlee’s direction. Her face was turning red, and it was hilariously unattractive. Nathan chuckled, used to my degrading comments about other people; and Dacen winking, catching on to what I was doing.

But, all too easily, Ashlee exploded at me. “You are so fucking disgusting! He has feelings! You know, those things real humans have? Along with a conscious? Oh, wait, that might be too advanced for scum like you. Seriously, what the fuck? He’s a great guy and you’re just going to fucking use him? I cannot wait until one day you get hurt like you hurt others.” Her rant lost velocity and ferocity when Rave started laughing.

“That’s good. ‘… vengeance shall be taken on him, sevenfold.’ Never forget that, slut.” I finished chuckling and rose from his seat. As I left the room I threw my right hand up in farewell, the room silent behind him.

~~~&~~~
For the next two weeks Laker and I continued to screw around. It even went beyond that; Laker was integrated into the group that hung around. At parties we were attached on the dance floor, Laker’s ass to my crotch. We weren’t considered a couple; everyone knew better. Ashlee was especially nice- almost sickeningly so. She and Laker would go shopping, or have movie nights. They were like a bunch of girls, if you could count Ashlee as a girl. Laker practically was.
Laker seemed to know, and accept, that we weren’t together. He never got clingy; he had no issue when I flirted with others at parties or in school. Fuck, the bitch would return the favour. He always seemed to know how to keep me wanting one more fuck. He knew just how to use his delicious body to keep my interested. It was nice. But, alas, he was getting old anyway.
It was Friday, and there was a party tonight. I was going to find that blonde. It seemed as though I had already at least danced with every blonde at every party since that one two weeks ago, but none of them were him. It was fucked up. I decided that I would stop with Laker, and put all my focus into finding the guy as opposed to splitting it before just giving in and fucking Laker.
It was lunch when I did it. For the second time that school year I ventured into the cafeteria, and easily located my cousin and his friends. Laker was there, next to the slut and across from the blonde. My heart sped up when I saw him, only to blink and realize it was just Dacen. I pursed my lips slightly in distaste.
Everyone at the table glanced up at me as I arrived behind Laker, and he glanced back. “Oh, hey, Rave! Ready for tonight?”
“Yeah. But, I don’t really feel like keeping up with you anymore,” I said, cutting right to the chase. Everyone froze and bounced their eyes from me to Laker and back again. Idiots. Laker looked back again, and his cheeks looked a little red, but otherwise he seemed not to care.
“Figured it would be any day now. If you change your mind you know I’m always up for it.” He said breezily. Oh. He was heartbroken. All the signs were there; barely looking at me, his eyes reddening a bit more every moment, blotchy cheeks, and the overly nonchalant attitude. Lovely. Ashlee was going to wring my neck.
“Yeah,” and I left without another word. There was no reason to stick around and make it any worse or have him start with that worthless crying thing.
As I walked outside of the building one thought was on my mind. Why did I bother sticking around? Besides Alice I didn’t really give a shit about anyone here. Well, I was used to Nathan. I pulled out a white carton of cigarettes and came to a conclusion.
It was time to move on.
So, I stuffed my cigarette carton back into my pocket as I walked over to my motorcycle and climbed on.
And I left on that Friday afternoon without a backwards glance.
Sorry that took a little over a week. Hope it was okay.
There is a big hint to Rave's past in here. Any clues as to what it is?
Anyway, to those who read this before I took it down and started reposting you probably noticed how different the chapters have been getting. Really, this is a completely different plot and only has a few similarities from here on out.
